Recently bought this and I absolutely love it! It fits perfectly on my counter and looks great. I bought the matte black and it's so classy and elegant looking. I had no issues registering it online with KitchenAid. The quality of the mixer seems great. I did notice that the newer models no longer come with a spring and washer to secure the attachment hooks on tightly, but I was able to find the spring and washer on Amazon for $5. 
The motor seems strong and capable of handling large quantities of doughs and other misc foods. One of the best purchases I've made this year and you cannot beat the price right now!!

I bought this for my wife for Christmas.She didn't even finish mixing her first batch of cookies before it died.Really bad quality.

Bought 1st one for my daughter's graduation present. Ran for about 5 minutes before it died. Returned and exchanged for new one. The 2nd one ran for about 7 minutes before it died. Returning tomorrow and getting my money back. Not worth it. I have a 20 yr old model that works like a champ. Had to finish with it both times the new ones died. Gave 1 star  because it did not allow 0 stars.

Very bad..do not buy

I decided to upgrade my mixer when this one went on sale. The smaller one I had before wouldn't shut off (the slide lever needed repairs). I have a small home based cookie business so I use my mixer to make alot of dough & icing.  My 5 qt is probably 15-20 yrs old and still works but could use a tune up. I love that this new one has slower options. I no longer have to deal with flour flying out of the mixer because the lower level lets me slowly incorporate my dry ingredients. This also came with an extra smaller bowl and a cool spatula with a clipped tip that makes it easier to clean off ingredients off the blade. Very happy with my purchase. I also love the color. I chose "Ice" which is aqua. The picture looks like it has a more sparkly/metallic finish, but its actually matte.
