I decided to upgrade my mixer when this one went on sale. The smaller one I had before wouldn't shut off (the slide lever needed repairs). I have a small home based cookie business so I use my mixer to make alot of dough & icing. My 5 qt is probably 15-20 yrs old and still works but could use a tune up. I love that this new one has slower options. I no longer have to deal with flour flying out of the mixer because the lower level lets me slowly incorporate my dry ingredients. This also came with an extra smaller bowl and a cool spatula with a clipped tip that makes it easier to clean off ingredients off the blade. Very happy with my purchase. I also love the color. I chose "Ice" which is aqua. The picture looks like it has a more sparkly/metallic finish, but its actually matte.

I purchased this KitchenAid Mixer as a backup for the 2 I already have. I'm an in-home baker & use my mixer quite often. One that I currently use was my Moms and is probably over 30 years old, but still works great. KitchenAid is a brand that you can trust and will last for a very long time if treated well.

I replaced the tilted Kitchen Aid I had with this mixer. Even thought it is relatively bulkier, I can use it for regular baking needs including homemade mayonnaise and whipped cream.

Worth the buy! Is a beautiful blue, like a dark robin egg color. It is about Has a larger bowl than the standard, and comes with 2 (!!), a larger and smaller bowl. Much better attachments, and this cool spoon to get EVERYTHING off the whisk. More speeds, more power, better safety feature (in my opinion). All around worth the buy! Add the fact that it is basically the same price as the standard KitchenAid makes this an amazing deal!

Amazing mixer for the price! $289 this was listed for. Bought it and used it a few times with no issues. A lot of people are reporting issues with these models. Hopefully this holds up. This is my 3rd mixer..first one is still amazing but let SIL have because my mother let me use her commercial sized mixer. Well mom moved out and we purchased this since this is the perfect size for me!

I have only used it twice so far, and it worked great. The only drawback is its weight. Very heavy, more than expected. I try to have few appliances on my countertops, but this has to stay on them. So pick a color that will compliment your decor.

We had to return it. This thing is a beast. My wife could not make the bowl snap into place or get it to come back out again. It was also too tall. This model must be a commercial version. We bought a lighter-duty model at another store. If you have the space and the muscles, this mixer is for you.

When testing the mixer a shrapnel/fragment fell from the planetary. If it fell in batter, it could have been life threatening because it was quite sharp. The fragment was coated with the same color as my mixer on one side. The other side was a shiny aluminum that easily broke when bent. Since then nothing else fell so I made some peanut butter cookies. Also, I can’t use the 3 quart bowl and combi-whip because the whip hits the bowl and the bowl doesn’t always latch on the back. I hope this mixer last awhile.

Bought 1st one for my daughter's graduation present. Ran for about 5 minutes before it died. Returned and exchanged for new one. The 2nd one ran for about 7 minutes before it died. Returning tomorrow and getting my money back. Not worth it. I have a 20 yr old model that works like a champ. Had to finish with it both times the new ones died. Gave 1 star because it did not allow 0 stars.

I bought this several weeks ago, washed all of the bowls and utensils and just stored it due to being out of town. I used it for the first day today and in the middle of my mixing it just stopped working. I tried a different outlet but that did not help. Not sure what happened but my previous Kitchen Aid that I had for almost 10 years never had an issue. Glad I bought the extended warranty.
