Bose Ultra Open Earbuds are awesome for listening to music or any sounds (podcasts, etc.) as you'd expect. The design of these earbuds is amazing. With the open design, you hear everything going on around you, and the they're exceptionally secure on the ear. The earbuds look great on the ear. The disappointment remains the sound quality to the person on the other end of the line when you're on the phone with these earbuds. For earbuds at this price, I expect perfection. This is not my first pair; I have the original Smoky White pair, but I ordered the latest addition in color (Sunset Iridescent) not only because they look nice, but to see if there had been any improvement in the microphone quality for calls. Unfortunately I'm getting the same responses when on calls: 1.) I can't hear you. 2.) WHERE ARE YOU? You sound like you're in a cave. 3.) I can't understand you; your voice is dropping in and out. It would be so helpful if Bose could either do a software update to help or offer pointers for HOW TO GET THE BEST RESULT from these earbuds when you're on the phone. One discovery when on the phone, it seems the listener on the other end hears me better if I intentionally speak more softly or do NOT speak as loudly as my regular speaking volume. If this is true, that would be a good detail to communicate.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have had the earbuds since the new year. The sound is really good. Wish there was a little more volume. Being open is good for driving and being around other people. I always used closed buds before and always loved the sound but these are right up there. Battery lasts me about 6 hours. Charge back to 100% very quick in the case. Then back to my music. I even take calls then just go back to music. So far so good.

I absolutely love these. They allow me to hear my surroundings, as long as I don’t turn the volume up too much. Because they do not sit inside your ears, they are extremely comfortable. No pain or sweaty ears like regular earbuds. I would highly recommend them.

Felt the sound would be amperes by the outside noise. Glad I was wrong. Sound is great! And they’re comfortable and secure on the ears. I forget they are even there. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought these an about 45 days ago to use as my primary Bluetooth headset for work but they quickly became my go to for both work and working out. Being able to be fully aware of my surroundings during both work from home meetings and during long runs has proven to be invaluable. The sound quality was beyond what I was expecting. Part of my daily run route is along a busy road and I expected traffic noise to impede my ability to hear what was playing through my ultra open but I was surprised when I could hear podcasts and music just as clearly as in ear ear buds. I’ve since recommended them to my brother, my mom and my best friend, all who have purchased and also have rave reviews.

Owned these about a month. I use them a lot when I'm doing something (like walking my dog on a busy street) where I don't necessarily want the noise-cancelling. The sound is still great, in quality and volume, they fit well and don't at all hurt my ears, even after wearing them literally all day. Wish they came in more colors!

When I got them over a few months ago seem to be great except there not really good for the Apple phones they don’t read out text let alone tell u a text or call coming through barely link up to the Apple phone there comfortable but u can barley hear music in loud surroundings no noise cancellation feature.

I love them so much specifically for exercise, however, when sweat gets in the charging metallic circles, they tend to rust out which tends to make connection difficult. Engineers should optimize the charging aspect of it
