The bristles on the attachments are SO rough and painful and they always rip out my hair! They leave my hair looking extremely frizzy and damaged post dry. The revlon dry brush works much better on my fine, wavy hair My revlon dry brush works much better with my fine, wavy hair.

Okay so I’ve had the Dyson air wrap. The curls didn’t last at all and I couldn’t justify the price. I bought the flex style and I haven’t looked back. I haven’t used my normal blow dryer in weeks. I love it so much! I will say that the round brush attachment is a bit wobbly at the top. I only did the “pick three” attachments but I kick myself for not getting them all. I really want the brush attachment but they’re on back order. Would recommend 100%!

This is fine. It blows your hair dry quick but the brushes pull out your hair (like any blow dry brush combo). The curlers are fine but my beachwaver does a nicer job. I probably wouldn’t purchase it again but I will use it to travel as the shape packs easily.

i really love this hair dryer/styler! i like that i only need one tool to dry and style my hair, and i appreciate that it can fold into the shape of a normal hair dryer to rough dry before you start styling. it’s pretty light and isn’t hard for me to hold for an extended period. i would say i don’t exactly love where the on/off switch is and i also don’t like that the curling barrels are two separate barrels, compared to dyson’s one barrel that can switch curl directions without having to touch the hot barrel. i did grab the very top when i was switching them out to avoid touching the actual barrel, but someone who may have difficulty with grip strength or disabilities like arthritis might find this really difficult to do over and over again without experiencing pain. i do like to switch up curl directions, so i think the dyson’s barrel is a little better for that (and would ultimately take less time due to not having to completely remove the barrel to switch to the other every couple sections). i know many people say they experience the curls falling quickly, but my hair stays styled for at least two days (even putting it in a bun overnight didn’t ruin the style) and i have never used a hair/texture spray after styling my hair with the flexstyle. overall, i really like this! there’s a few things i would change, but the price is much better than the dyson so i feel like i could get over the few drawbacks i’ve found here to save a significant amount of money. i used my sister’s flexstyle four times now and have really loved the end result each time, so i plan to get one of my own soon!

Love it! And gives a wicked blowout! Love that there are different attachments to play with and I have quickly change them out. The only two things I would say could be better would be the noise (it is super loud) and the weight. I find it heavy when I’m trying to do the full blow/ style.

I got this styler for Christmas and overall I would say it is a mixed bag. Originally I thought I would love the curler and round brush attachments, but those left me wanting more. The curls don’t last and the round brush just creates frizz on me. It is especially bad for styling short layers and bangs. HOWEVER I have naturally curly 2C-3B hair and was blown away at the diffuser attachment. The adjustable fingers help to control how much air and lift gets to the root, and the temperature/airflow settings were just right for making amazing ringlets. I have never gotten more compliments on my curly hair since using. With all that said I am keeping, but for the diffuser only.

I really like that it is light and the cable is long enough, to make my curls the dryer is perfect, I use it for 10 seconds hot and 10 seconds with the cold button for each curl, it is very easy to make the curls. I must say that before I always used the iron to wave my hair because my hair needed to be straightened so it wouldn't be too frizzy and with this dryer I forgot about the iron to wave my hair, best of all it ended much faster my style. I recommend it, it is perfect to make various styles in your hair.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I’ve been using the Shark FlexStyle Air drying system. It is a great product for volume. I love all the attachments it comes with. It frees up storage space because it’s all one product. It’s taken the place of my curling iron too.

I bought this a few months ago and wanted to really learn how to use it before writing a review. First off I’ll start by saying I do really like it overall and don’t regret buying it. However, I feel that it doesn’t work quite like I was expecting or dry as fast as advertised. I’ll start with the positives. The size is really nice and it fits in my hand well and easy to hold. I read some complaints about it being loud but I don’t think it’s as loud as a lot of standard hair dryers. The attachments are easy to switch out and I have come to use the round brush attachment almost daily, even just to smooth out and freshen up my style between washes. The curling wands are interesting and took a while to figure out. I ended up finding some YouTube videos that were helpful. I have medium-thick, long hair with somewhat of a natural wave. The “curl” I get is more of a very loose wave. If you use the left and right side wands respectively and curl it the way Shark instructs, it mostly curls the ends and creates a hot roller look. I use the opposite wand per side and flip it upside down so I can wrap the hair around the barrel away from my face and leave the ends loose to get more a wave. It adds nice volume as it creates the waves. Now for the cons. The drying time is not any faster than my old standard dryer and in fact, may actually take longer. Especially if I use the round brush tool and dry it completely. Also, there’s no way you can actually dry your hair without heat. It would take hours for anyone with a reasonable amount of hair so that was a disappointment. And the curling wands don’t work at all without heat. In retrospect this make sense but since Shark claims you can dry and style without heat, I was hopeful.
