We purchased the model 4000 washer/dryer in white on May 8, 2023 and took delivery on May 15th. The array of washing/drying options is vast and the features/technology are impressive. Overall performance thus far has been fine. However, the quality control is lacking. Specifically, there is a color mismatch between the washer and dryer. While the washer itself is white and matched the floor model displayed at the retailer from whom we made our purchase, the dryer is a different story. It is not white per se, but an off-white color in appearance. And depending on the lighting conditions and angle, the dryer shows hints of beige. We firmly believe that this is a manufacturing defect. The particular dryer unit should never have passed quality control for cosmetics coming out of the manufacturing process. And the retailer should never have accepted this unit as first quality, let alone selected this unit for delivery/installation to us, or any customer for that matter. While the shopping experience itself overall was pleasant, we will be forever tainted (literally and figuratively) by what should never have slipped all the way through to our doorstep.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have had this now for 2 years ago, and it has been a good dryer. It is very quiet and drys well. However, recently the drum went bad. Drum split on one end and started making a thump noise. LG surprisingly covered the drum under a 3 year or lifetime drum warranty, but the process to get a part was kludgy and frustrating. About 1.5 months later we received the drum and it was replaced quickly.

What should a dryer do? Dry clothes. This one does a very good job. What should an excellent dryer do? Allow easy control. Not so much. The built-in default settings are good, but I can't easily adjust them. (e.g. it insists on MORE DRY, and won't allow me to override to LESS DRY). The light inside the dryer doesn't work like a regular dryer. I expect the light to be on when the door is open and off when closed, with perhaps an override to temporarily turn on the light when the door is closed. Nope. Open the door? Nothing. You have to POWER ON the dryer. Does the light go off when you close the door and POWER OFF? Nope. The light stays on (for a while). I think the designers got too over-zealous with what they could do with the electronic control of everything.

Since I had to replace my washer, spouse insisted upon a matching set. This dryer has an amazing load capacity and same connectivity features as the washer. Performs flawlessly. Spouse particularly likes the glass door, Wi-Fi notification of status and, the ditty it plays at the end of cycles. Very impressed.

Advised by multiple repairman and salesmen (with more Samsung inventory mind you) that LG is far superior. Time will tell but so far so good. Appreciate the app and reminders that old is done.

I could not take anymore and decided to get a new dryer despite mine not being old. I did a lot of research which including asking people their recommendations. I decided to purchase LG. I could not be happier. Dryer is quiet and works great.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've been using this dryer for a little over a month. It dries quickly and is noticeably quieter then my last dryer. Plenty of setting and I haven't explored all of them yet. Wi Fi is a nice feature for monitoring and there appear to be some special drying routine I can download to use on my machine. Very happy with the purchase!!

We moved into a new house and had to replace all of the appliances. We chose to go with LG units for everything. This dryer had to be converted to propane but the Service Tech did it in a matter of mins. The unit works well. It is quiet and efficient. We are still learning about some of the advanced features but are impressed so far.
