Ruins my towels

I bought the washer and matching dryer about a year ago, and I love them both. The problem is that one of them is destroying my towels, but I don't know witch. See attached photos. This occurs on both high quality and low quality towels. I have resorted to putting my towels in mesh bags before washing and drying, which seems to solve the problem. I could do some experimentation to determine which machine is the culprit, but I don't want to destroy more towels in the process.

Quiet and efficient

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We purchased this dryer approximately two month ago. We're very satisfied with two things in particular... 1. It is quiet. As the laundry room shares a wall with our bedroom, this is a welcome change; 2. It dries everything thoroughly, even heavy towels and blankets. We used to have to either run another timed cycle with just the heavy items, or spread them out in the house to dry. We're very satisfied.

Efficient dryer, you have to be ok with linty-ness

Installation was easy enough and I like how the dryer works quickly and efficiently. The different heat settings are great and it dries even delicates well (in a laundry bag). One thing is that lint often gets caught in the door gasket and it’s hard to clean behind it. Seeing all the fluff through the door annoys me especially when I’m unable to get to it.

Lint trap a huge problem

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We bought this dryer and the matching washer. The washer is amazing. The dryer is terrible. The first one we got didn’t heat up at all. The second one we got destroyed our clothes with the known lint trap problem that catches the clothes and tangles them then tears them when they get free. The lint trap is POORLY designed and barely catches any lint at all instead when you open the door lint comes out everywhere, then when you pull the lint trap to empty it there’s nothing in the trap because it gets “cleaned off” and it falls deep into the dryer which is scary from a fire standpoint. Since this is a known issue for quite some time, that I discovered AFTER I believed Consumer Reports and purchased it. LG needs to do the right thing and redesign the lint trap. After our second one we switched to a different brand and are very happy!

Love the Wi-Fi enabled feature

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have been very happy with this dryer. I was looking for a Wi-Fi enabled dryer because it's in another part of the house when working, so just to know the current status and be told when the cycle is done is very informative so I can spend the least amount of time on doing laundry.

Hi, there. Thank you for sharing your experience with your LG Dryer (DLEX4000B) model. It’s great to hear that your unit has been such a good fit for your home. The Wi‑Fi capability is especially useful when the laundry room is far from where you spend most of your time — getting real‑time status updates and cycle‑completion alerts really does make laundry feel less like a chore. We’re glad it’s helping you save time and stay on top of things with ease. If you need further assistance, feel free to email lgdigitalcare@lg.sprinklrsupport.com. #LifesGood ❤️ LG Digital Care Team ^Juvy

Great dryer with lots of features

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We've been using this LG dryer for a few months and so far it's been great. Just like the washer, we like the design and ease of use. The dryer has a large capacity which easily fits our bedding/blankets and other bulky items. There are 5 heat settings for more precise drying compared to my previous dryer. We use the alert feature often to ensure we remove our clothes promptly. Another neat feature is when you pair the washer and dryer, it recommends a dry cycle based on your wash. All you have to do it push start. Overall, the dryer is a great additional to our household. .

Great Features

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love the features of this dryer like the WiFi and steam setting. It is a real life saver when you leave the laundry too long and it gets wrinkles. You can easily turn that setting on and 10 minutes later it’s like nothing happened.

So far so good

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The dryer machine is in use for less than a month. It is difficult to provide more details than it is quiet and depends on the selected program clothes at the end of the program matches expected results. Therefore so far so good.

Dryer works just fine

After about 1 month of usage, the dryer is working perfect. I did have some issues trying to find a good hot air exhaust pipe to fit this due to it being close to the wall and offset from the exit connection. Ended up using my old periscope pipe due to it being smaller. The original one I purchased (0 to 18") had the overhang go out too far into the path of the washer sitting to the right of it. Also the periscope I did use interfered with the steam water line hook-up so I did not connect. Only really use the dryer for drying bedding and towels. We hang our clothes on an inside line to dry due to the AC and dehumidifier doing the bulk of the drying. But it's working great.

Dryers that don't dry

I can only agree with most of the reviews on this list. The dryers are pretty much useless. We called the service line we got told to reset the dryer and use it only on the speed dry setting and it worked for a few times, but it takes two or three hours plus times to dry. As a general contractor i see a lot of different systems and LG has been the worse product I have come seen and will try and discourage anyone from purchasing. .

Hi there. We understand your experience with your dryer fell short of your expectations. We'd like to take this opportunity to have a closer look into your issue! If your LG dryer is taking too long to dry your clothes or your dryer is not heating properly, this is likely due to a blockage to the dryer's airflow. Blockages can be caused by an obstruction in the duct work or lint build up on your air filter. Please make sure your lint filters are clean and free of any debris. Please start your dryer on a normal cycle. Next, go outside where the dryer is vented and ensure the airflow is adequate. If there is weak/ no airflow, there might be a restriction that needs to be removed. Are you receiving an error code? Feel free to reach out to us so that we can help zero in on the cause and help resolve the issue! We're available via PM on social media at the handle @LGUSSupport. Be sure to include your phone number, model number, serial number, and error code should you be receiving one. It would be our pleasure to help! ^Chris http://spr.ly/6429Vyc93
