The fresh litter smells bad enough, but the used litter mixed with urine creates a strong ammonia smell that makes it almost impossible to breathe because it burns so badly. I can't imagine how bad it's been for my two cats, despite constant upkeep. I went through the tub as quickly as possible because I couldn't afford to just throw it and buy new, better litter. It also clumps very badly and disintegrates into a fine, dark powder when you try to scoop it, which doesn't help with odor control. The bottom of the litter box turned into a mass of stinking clay that I had to scrape to get out. And it's irritated my cats' skin, they've been itching like mad since we got this. No fleas or ticks. I've given them a bath with cat shampoo to try to help get the chemicals off and ease the irritation. On top of that, due to the way the litter disintegrated into a fine, dark powder when disturbed, it stuck between my cats' paws and was carried all around the house.

I have 4 cats and have tried multiple different litters and even different versions of Tidy Cats. By far, the clumping litter with Glade has been the best. I can't smell the litter boxes at all, there's little waste, and I only have to completely change it out about every 4-6 weeks. It is AWESOME.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I am so ecstatic! From the minute I take the cap off the jug of litter. I could smell the awesome scent of Glade. It wasn't overwhelming at all. I was concerned that my cat might have issues with it and I was also concerned that she might not get used to the odor since we were using a non-order litter for this. I had no issues with her at all since I started using this new Tidy Cats Glade litter. It works just as great as it always has just with a new great smell!

I’ve used Tidy Cats litter for many years. My favorite is the Glade scented. It keeps a nice smell. I tried an unscented store brand about a month ago and was so disappointed. The urine clumps fell apart when I scooped it with little pieces falling back into the litter. I also bought some scented crystals to add to it because it smelled badly after scooping. I’ve Never Had These Problems Using Tidy Cats! Now I have one half of a 30# container that I’ll probably donate to a shelter. I just ordered 2 more 35# containers of Glade Tidy Cats. Learned my lesson. You get what you pay for.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] So I love this litter! This litter has very little dust when pouring into the litter box and during scooping. The scent is pleasant, not overwhelming. It does a good job at hard clumping cat urine but I have to wait a few hours before scooping it up otherwise it falls apart. Clumps don’t stick to the bottom with. It covers odors extremely well. I have two cats and this certainly helps a lot. There is some tracking but I must add it is hard to sweep up because some of granules are very small. Other than that I will definitely put this on my pet supply shopping list.

I am disappointed in almost all aspects of this product. The scent is almost like a cheap grape candy, and seems more designed to mask odor than control it. The smell of the cat urine and feces is still noticeable, even though I scoop out the litter box at least four times a day for two kittens. The clumping is poor, and I'm left with a sticky mess that I have to clean off the scoop each time. The litter sticks to the cats' paws, and gets tracked all through the house. Generic litter worked better than this, and was cheaper.

It cuts down on odor and the fact that it clumps helps a lot when it comes to scooping the litter box. The price is about what you would pay for any other decent cat litter

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This version of Tidy Cats litter is better than the original litter, which left a mess when the cats exited the litter boxes. This Glade Tidy Cats has a much finer, sandier texture and the scent is very appealing

Have been using this litter for a little over a year. We have 4 cats and it works great for us. The smell is definitely better than the regular tidy cats litter and the litter clumps well. This is the only litter we'll use in the living room because the horrible smell when using other litter is unmanageable.
