We have used generic litter for our cats as long as I remember. My husband was always the one who picked it up for me, but he never cleaned the box. Finally I got to go peruse the aisle of litter and grabbed Tidy Cats Clumping Glade Odor Control. First of all let me say; Now, I know what I was missing! The litter smells great.. I still haven't smelled any cat smells even when I'm scooping. The litter clumps minimally so there's no wasted litter "tagging along" to the yuck stuff when you scoop. The litter doesnt stick to the cats feet and cause a sandy mess everywhere they walk. Tidy Cats was just a dollar more than the generic and for that dollar more I also got an extra 15 pounds as well. Inside the box there was a free sample of Friskies! I just love this stuff!

The #1 thing for me is I only smell the litter and nothing else. I have friends over often and they always say they can never tell we have cats. They have even been in the room were I keep the boxes and they still can't smell anything. This stuff is GREAT!!

My only one issue is that the scent is very overpowering. My cats don't seem to mind, but it definitely is too strong for me. I would recommend this if you are okay with a strong scent. Full disclosure, I don’t take care of the littler boxes, it’s a chore for the children to complete. But, my daughter has not complained as much about the smell so I’d call this a win!

I bought two jugs of tidy cats lightweight for tough odor on Wednesday of last week. My usual (free and clear, charcoal activated) appeared to be out and I thought I'd try something new. By Friday both cats were sick, throwing up, and litter was stuck in their paws. Three days later, one already compromised geriatric cat will probably not survive. After a bath and change of litter, the other cat seems somewhat better than this morning. Both get to see the vet tomorrow but only one will likely be coming home with me.
