I used the HE Tide in my old top load washing machine not knowing how it would perform. It was as effective as regular Tide. Love the lasting fragrance and how clean and fresh my clothes end up.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] What can I say about Tide? How about that it’s pretty much the perfect laundry detergent??!! First, it’s been around for years. Mom used it when I was a kid. We still use tide in my home today so that is important. Tide has a light but clean smell. It’s not overpowering for people that don’t like a lot of perfumes in their detergents. Next, it’s easy to use. The lid has the measurements for your laundry load size clearly marked. Any soap that doesn’t drain out of the lid into the machine, drains back into the bottle when the lid is replaced. I have a front-loading washing machine so one of the things I do not want is a ton of suds not rinsing out of the clothing. Tide now has what they call “he turbo clean”. The suds are supposed to break down faster while still cleaning and rinsing away effectively and efficiently. I found this to be true while using the product. Tide is great for getting laundry clean. I really feel that tide gets stains out of clothes and keeps them looking clean and new longer. Tide is also great for pretreating tougher stains before washing the stained item with your normal laundry loads. Tide is a winner in my book. If you’re not on the Tide bandwagon yet, it’s worth your money to try it today.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This Tide Original comes in a bottle with a pour spout at the top when you unscrew the cap. The first thing I noticed after opening it was the sent. It smells fresh and clean. After running the clothes through the cycle and drying, the sent that is left is not over powering. The spout makes it easy to pour and not spill. The cap is a measuring cup and seats back into the bottle so it does not get all over the container. The jug has a handle for easy carrying and pouring. The clothes that were washed came out clean as expected.

OUR FAMILY IS A TIDE FAMILY AND HAS BEEN FOR MANY MANY YEARS. WE DO NOT HAVE A FRONT LOADING WASHER AND I GRABBED THE REGULAR ORANGE BOTTLE THAT I DO EVERY WEEK ONLY TO GET HOME AND DISCOVER THAT IT WAS A BOTTLE OF THE H.E. DETERGENT. I CAN'T USE THE H.E. DETERGENT IN MY REGULAR WASHER. I READ ANOTHER POST FROM A CONSUMER WHO DOES HAVE AN H.E. WASHING MACHINE AND GRABS REGULAR TIDE BY ACCIDENT. COME ON TIDE!!!! HELP US OUT HERE AND PUT THAT STUFF IN ANOTHER COLORED BOTTLE. THANK YOU!!!!!!

It works great, it smells nice, and is a trusted brand. There really is no reason to look at other detergents, Tide is tried and true. I like the original scent, but have also used the simply clean and fresh version and the free and gentle version. They all work well and it is just a matter of preference as to which one to choose. You really can't go wrong with Tide.

Had HE washer for 2 years and tried your HE product. Found it would not rinse as well as regular product and had musty smell. Clothes smelled bad after use. Called Tide. they said leave the door open after use. Switched back to reg detergent. Would like to try again. maybe i did something wrong.

Please bring back the old 'original' scent. I have been using Tide Original Scent for the last 20 years and last week did a load with the new detergent. I thought it was my imagination that it smelled stronger when I opened the bottle, until the clothes were done washing. Opened the washer and was practically knocked over by the foul odor. Seriously, it is so overpowering and awful, why on earth did you change the scent???? I now have to switch brands. You just lost a 20 year old loyal customer.
