I bought a Heavy Duty Starter Kit recently, to dust around my computer desk, with monitors, mouse, keyboard, USB backup device, and the usual stuff. I found the duster to be very effective, but the design of the handle, at least the portion that is meant to grip the duster, is too slippery, and I found the duster comes off frequently as a result. Also, there are no instructions for replacing the duster onto the handle. I've seen a note on this site, in relation to a similar complaint, explaining to simply slide the duster onto the handle, which sounds simple. But in practice it's almost impossible to install a new duster, and even when you do, it comes off frequently. Swiffer, you really need to address this problem, as it ruins an otherwise effective product.

This is an inferior product to previously owned dusters. The 'locking' mechanism for the dual head does not stay locked; the extendable handle retracts constantly (there is no way to lock it into place), and the dusters pull off with the least bit of resistance. It doesn't collect more dust, either. This was a total waste of money; disappointing, flimsily made and frustrating to use.

My youngest to my oldest child, even hubby will grab it and dust off a night stand or tv stand without me asking. This week we really put it to good use for spring cleaning during the kids spring break. It's one of the easiest dusters I've ever used because it's so flexible and works on every surface. I am pleased that I could reach everything I wanted to dust with no problem. The disposable cloths that slide onto the forked end of the duster picked up dust like a magnet. I like this product. It does well for such a simple tool.

The Swiffer Duster is so lightweight and easy to use that the only problem the kids had with using it was reaching the upper half of the bookshelf. I love having something like this that is kid friendly and effective since they love to help.

However, after using Swiffer dusters it just made things so much easier and more efficient. The long handle lets me get to the high places without having to go and grab a step ladder. I thought my previous cleaning routine for ceiling fans and other high places was adequate. As you can see from the picture, I was wrong. I used the Swiffer Extender just two days after I cleaned my ceiling fan with a different product. The Swiffer picked up what was left behind by the other product, and I could not be happier. It was also really easy to reach the ceiling fan with the duster, I didn't even have to use a chair! The Swiffer Dusters actually removes dust and animal hair, it doesn't just move it around like some other, similar, products. Finding a product that actually gets rid of dust is very important to me since every member of my family suffers from allergies. Having left over dust particles and animal hair is not acceptable. The extender is also really easy to use. By the time I had it out of the box, my 7 year old daughter had figured out how to use it, and was showing me. She loves helping me clean, and with the reach of the extender, she is able to reach places she hasn't been able to reach previously. The handle is also very easy to grip and hold, so any member of my family can use it. I also really like the fact that you can use the dusters on several different surfaces before having to discard them. I would recommend this to anyone and everyone who is looking for a better way to dust their house. After trying the Swiffer Dusters, I will NEVER go back to my old cleaning ways!

To be honest, I just had the idea in my head that it would just get "caked up" with dust and end up in the trash. I have tried Swiffer products before so I wasn't against trying this. It was a pleasant surprise. However, I was excited to get this kit because well, our fans were in need of some dusting. I love that I didn't have to get a chair to reach that fan. Just extend the arm, bend the duster, and you're ready to go! I felt like I could dust everyone's house now! Seriously, it's fun,quick and effortless. I even got some help cleaning from my daughter without the usual moaning and groaning! In fact, she searched for other areas to dust. We are fans in this house!
