This is my second LG dryer. My original one got damaged in the Texas Big Freeze, but it served me well for many, many years! The new one is a ThinQ and I love that it holds so many clothes. It has many drying options (12!) and runs so quietly you can hardly hear it. The musical notes on completion of each load is a nice touch, and the big drawer in the base provides lots of extra storage. It was a teriffic buy and the perfect complement for me LG washer!

It was difficult to get to the person to assist me. However when I finally spoke to a live person... she was very patient and helpful. She talked me thru the steps to diagnose and fix the problem. Happy my dryer is working properly now and I did not have to have a service person come to my home.

After doing some research I decided on going to this front loading LG electric dryer that was WiFi enabled. I had removed the old dryer and thoroughly cleaned the dryer vent. I did have trouble with frequently getting the error code d80 when drying large loads of items like towels. Made sure the dryer vent was not collapsed or kinked and that the dryer vent was not clogged. Checked the dryer vent cap on my roof and as it turned out it was too small and was installed improperly when my house was built. I found and purchased a new, larger and much better vent cap for the roof. Had a roofer change it out problem and was completely resolved. No more error codes and clothes dried faster.

What I like is the silent function compared to the previous generation of washer and dryer I used. To me, the smart functionality is halfbaked i.e. you get notifications but there is no useful feature yet that I would pay.

Usually does a good job but you have to pick the correct choice or your clothes may still be damp. Had a problem with the dryer setting up with our wifi and had to have a tech called in to fix problem. other than that is a great dryer.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We’ve had our LG DLGX4001W dryer for only two weeks, but so far I’m delighted with it! To this point, I’ve run the dryer on Normal, Delicates, Towels and Bedding, all with total and easy success. Note that I’m not a “power user;” i.e., I’ve not tried setting up connectivity with my smartphone, so I cannot comment on that. Our previous washer gave out after 20+ years, and since our old dryer was of the same age, we decided to buy a new dryer along with our new washer (LG WM4000HWA). The positive reviews for the LG DLGX4001W are quite compelling and I can see why. I’ve done our family’s laundry for 35+ years, and I really cannot imagine anyone being dissatisfied with this LG dryer.

Along with our latest washing machine this companion dryer is remarkably efficient quiet and dries in a quicker time than our previous LG dryer! Sensing and excellent dry cycles gives us another LG product that we’ve trusted for 20 years. Obviously longevity will be the key factor with trouble free workmanship.

Takes ages to dry properly. Msged LG when I purchased it but they never really addressed anything. Finally LG sent someone to look at it and discovered an electrical issue. I had an electrician look at it but it still has the same problem. Seems like LG is just not taking responsibility for a faulty machine.
