What should a dryer do? Dry clothes. This one does a very good job. What should an excellent dryer do? Allow easy control. Not so much. The built-in default settings are good, but I can't easily adjust them. (e.g. it insists on MORE DRY, and won't allow me to override to LESS DRY). The light inside the dryer doesn't work like a regular dryer. I expect the light to be on when the door is open and off when closed, with perhaps an override to temporarily turn on the light when the door is closed. Nope. Open the door? Nothing. You have to POWER ON the dryer. Does the light go off when you close the door and POWER OFF? Nope. The light stays on (for a while). I think the designers got too over-zealous with what they could do with the electronic control of everything.

The drying sensor works great which makes it so easy to dry a load perfectly in the shortest amount of time. It has great features like choosing the type of clothing that’s being dried so that it can dry it to perfection. I would highly recommend this dryer.

I used the steam cycle for the first time yesterday and was most pleased - wrinkles disappeared! Problem with phone app but I am sure that is a problem on my end. Highly recommend this dryer!

We got this dryer to match the washer. Nothing but great things from everything we saw and read. We got it home, have used it for a few month, and have all new connections and hookups. The only cycle the works correctly is the timed cycle. Even after following all the directions we could find and reaching out to LG support, the sensor drying leaves clothes damp, regardless of the cycle. New ducting and nothing blocking. Clean sensor. Super high performance. My last set of LG appliances lasted 14 years. Nothing comes close in my opinion

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Generally speaking, a dryer is a dryer is a dryer. This dryer was a top scorer with Consumer Reports. Admittedly, it has stuff these two old(er) people will never use, like running it with our cell phones. We wouldn't have ordered steam either, but it came with it. My wife keeps meaning to try that out. BUT, it does a great job of drying our stuff. What more can you ask. And, we got a bargain on the drawer/pedestal to match the one under the washer we bought last year. So my wife doesn't have to bend over so far.

I bought this drier 6 years ago and I have been very pleased with it overall performance. The drier has a steam dry feature which I have been unable to utilize because to water supply is located on the wrong side of utility room and I have not spent the money to route the water over to the other side. I may do it soon.

Drys even comforters in once cycle, love the steam clean feature, and i know this sounds silly, but love the cheery chimes to let you know load is done….. like the app the also lets me know when cycle is done…

Still new to us but we use it almost daily. As I wrote before, the Wi-Fi feature seems more gimmicky than practical. I am also finding it difficult to input changes that I want. Have to go back and study the manual. Not finding it terribly user friendly so far but that may be just me.
