Great Dryer

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] this is a great Dryer, though I have only used it a few times I am liking it. I did find getting through the WiFi set up a bit grueling, now that I a on I love the convenience of phone notifications when the cycle is finished. There are a lot of features in the machine that does slow you down a bit in the beginning to learn them and I am almost there.

Love the smart features

Have only had the dryer hooked up for one day and a couple of loads but the link with the Thinq app is great. I knew the dryer was venting as I tedted it before I hooked it to the ductwork. After hooking it up there was no exhaust at the outdoor grate - lint dam! I was able to use the remote start feature on yhe phone app to go in the crawl space and disassemble the ductwork while starting and stopping the dryer to locate the blockage. We also purchased the matching washer that links with the dryer. and the washer tells the fryer what setting to use

Very good dryer, not perfect.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We've had this dryer for about a month. It does a pretty good job, but based on how new the dryer is we'd expect the sensor function to work a little better. I'll start out by writing that most of the 'fancy' functions on this machine are sensor functions, i.e. they sense the dryness of the clothing. We have not done anything sophisticated, but have noticed that for every load done on the dryer setting, there are three or four pieces of clothing that come out damp. We've resorted to just using the time dry feature, adjusting the temp based on the materials, with great success. Additionally, the Wifi will not connect to my LG app at all. We purchased new washing machine (WM4000HWA) at the same time which we love and does all functions wonderfully.

Amazing dryer!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] his dryer is quite and overall performs well. Very easy to use but the thing I like the most is how quite these are you can not hear them running at all.It does dry hotter on low than the old dryer. I do like the WiFi and LG app which sends a notification to my Phone when the cycles complete. Really love the functionality especially if I get busy in other room of the house. The controls can be greatly simplified! If you need to freshen up a piece of clothing just use the steam function. I’m so happy with my new dryer paired with the washer that is amazing too.

Good Dryer, need better owner manual

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is a great dryer...certainly hot & tumbles well! My problem is with the owner manual which is useless (unless you're installing it). The LG online help center is also useless. I do not like being unable to adjust the temperature on the various settings...!

Some little annoying things but overall good

We just got a new dryer and replaced an 8 year old LG dryer that was very similar to this one. This dryer is loud with a vibrating/humming noise that stops when I lean on top of it. It drives me crazy. I would have liked the light to remain on when you open the door, even if the actual unit wasn't on. If it's dark and I don't turn the light on in the laundry room, but need to look for something in the dryer or toss a load in quickly, the old LG dryer we had would have the light on just with opening the door. I guess this might be an energy-saving thing, but it is annoying. I would have liked having the option for the steam care settings to have the basket that pulled out like the other model we had, so I was surprised when I saw this one NOT have that. You have to hook it up to the water line and we were not going to go through the hassle of splitting the water line from the washer to the dryer. Had I realized that, I wouldn't have bought this model. The picture on the site makes it look like our old model, which has a pull out drawer on the left side where you can easily add water to the tray and do it that way, but the one we got doesn't have that and looks different on the left side.

Cleans more thoroughly

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] First front loader I’ve had at home has larger capacity and gets clothes much cleaner than the agitator I had. Great investment ..wiping the gasket to ensure its dry is small price to pay for a superior wash

Couldn't have made a better choice

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Purchased a few months ago, and couldn't feel happier about it. I'm notorious for forgetting my clothes when the cycle ends, but the LG app reminds me on my phone - and it's perfect when I'm outside or working on something else. I love the specific settings for the loads I'm doing i.e bedding, delicates, etc. Would recommend to anyone.

LG Dryer

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this about a month ago and love LG products. We have LG stackable washer and dryer at our home on Maine and they are going strong after more than 10y years of use. Looking forward to years of good service from this one as well.

Good product with some flaws

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This dryer and matching washer were upgrades to a pair of front-loaders that were 15 years old and no longer operating in an ideal fashion. I was going to choose the 9000 series Signature pair but our laundry room doesn't have enough space to fit larger machines. As it is with the 4000 series, we now have larger total capacity in frames that are the same size as the outgoing old pair. The quality of these LG machines is apparent. The tubs, chassis, and the rims around each tub are solidly built. The dryer works quite well on most automatic settings and senses the dampness level of clothes, increasing or decreasing cycle time appropriately. Having degrees of "low" or "high" in the heat level is helpful. The number of options for types of clothing is also helpful, but my complaint is that many of presets don't allow for any changes. So, for example, you can't use the "Normal" setting and change the heat. You can't use the "Steam Fresh" setting and change the time other than presets of 3 and 8 minutes. The only way to fully control the dryer is to use the "Timed Dry" setting, which is not the most efficient use. Overall, this is an excellent dryer that looks great, is well made, has a number of good features such as adding steam to the drying process, but the level of customizability and flexibility with the controls is not what I'd like it to be.
