[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Bought this dryer with the matching washer to replace our 19 year old equipment. Everything about the dryer seems to be top notch. The sensor dries the clothes perfectly. Because the dryer has the steam option, it needs a third hose for those of you upgrading to the steel braided hose for the washer. Other than that, happy with the purchase!

Keeping track of what's happening with the ThinQ app is great and works flawlessly. The only thing that has been a problem is with a small load of mostly synthetic materials some of them come out still damp at the end of a sensor cycle. 5-10 minutes done on a manual cycle usually gets those few things dry. One little bit of advice on placement - the washer door opens to the left, the dryer door to the right (but can be switched). If possible, place the dryer to the right of the washer for easy transfer of your load.

The first issue was an installation issue regarding the plug. The second electrical issue related to the fact that the dryer kept tripping the circuit breaker. We resolved this by having an electrician replace the circuit breakers. This dryer is extremely efficient but requires more amperage. It was an extremely frustrating experience but was not the fault of the dryer. I love the features and the fact that clothes dry quickly. I would advise purchasers to check with an electrician if they experience similar problems.

To this point, I’ve run the dryer on Normal, Delicates, Towels and Bedding, all with total and easy success. Note that I’m not a “power user;” i.e., I’ve not tried setting up connectivity with my smartphone, so I cannot comment on that. Our previous washer gave out after 20+ years, and since our old dryer was of the same age, we decided to buy a new dryer along with our new washer (LG WM4000HWA). The positive reviews for the LG DLGX4001W are quite compelling and I can see why. I’ve done our family’s laundry for 35+ years, and I really cannot imagine anyone being dissatisfied with this LG dryer.

I'm a fan of the little song it plays when my load is done. All my laundry easily fits, including our king comforter. We can get our girls' cloths done in one load! I have noticed that when I set it to "normal" dry it does leave some items slightly damp. I know a lot of people prefer this, so items don't shrink, but I am used to drying my items all the way dry. When this happens I just do the timed dry at 20 minutes and it takes care of any damp items. I've also had the opportunity to use the steam function. I can say it definitely works as an assistant to getting wrinkles out! I had a badly wrinkled cardigan, I tossed it in the dryer on steam and I was impressed how it came out. You will need to let the steam function run its full course to see results. The unit is VERY quiet. I leave the laundry room door open and the sound doesn't interfere or overwhelm us, like our old dryer. I am really happy with this dryer and I look forward to trying out even more features!

I wish it had the dryer rack i it’s supposed to come with also wish it had instructions on how to use the machine I would’ve never bought it my wife did Also there’s no place to put in why are you pick the machine you have to pick what they want you to pick that’s not a way to review a machine

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've had the dryer for over a month now, and I love it! It was a great purchase. I also bought the matching washing machine. The steam function is really nice, too. In 10 minutes you can have soft and toasty pjs to wear on a cold night!

It was difficult to get to the person to assist me. However when I finally spoke to a live person... she was very patient and helpful. She talked me thru the steps to diagnose and fix the problem. Happy my dryer is working properly now and I did not have to have a service person come to my home.

From washing and drying heavy bedding, husbands golf clothes , delicates, even hats , clothing comes out clean and perfect . If you are looking for a great washer & dryer this is the gold standard. 5 stars LG
