Poorly designed Dryer
1 out of 5 stars review

Dyer is a fire Hazard

This dryer is defective in design and should be recalled. The lint filter does not catch all the lint as one would expect. Rather, the lint bypasses the filter and gets caught at the bottom of the machine. Eventually this will cause a fire hazard. Also, all the lint accumulates at the bottom of the machine and remains trapped and further creates a larger and larger trap as new lint accumulates. So much so, that it collects to the extent that it prevents the lint filter from sitting flush with the interior orientation of the barrel where it then snags and damages clothes. Once a piece of clothing gets caught, it remains snagged until the end of the cycle. Whatever clothing gets trapped like this; it permanently ruins the item as it creates permanent wrinkles besides sometimes tearing the clothes.

Good, but expected more.

For the price, I was shocked this dryer didn't come with the inside Dryer Rack. Also, not sure if it was suppose to or not, but ours didn't come with the water hoses that you are suppose to use to hook it up! I was also shocked on this! Another trip the store and was unexpected. Overall, I like the dryer, but it seems LG is finding ways to cut corners! I just hope this doesn't mean quality is going to be down as well!

Doesn't dry well

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I can't get any of my loads to dry well. It takes multiple dries to dry clothes and still some are dry and some damp still. Sheets as well as towels loads all tangle in each other, making it very hard to separate, very wrinkled, and not well dried. I have not been impressed with this dryer and regret my purchase decision. Steam settings leave my clothes very wet after the drying cycle is "done." It does have a lot of cool potential features if it were to work properly.

Nice looking set, easy to use intuitive features.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have used this washer dryer pair for about three weeks now, no issues. I am surprised that the dryer runs cool about halfway through the dry cycle when clothes are still wet but have been told this is normal and part of the energy saving feature. Hum... that doesn't make sense to me so I have switched off energy save and started using the timed dry feature and this gets my clothes dryer faster without over drying.

Early evaluation

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] So far, now that we know how to operate the appliances, everything look good for the future. We have not started using the wifi yet, but hope to use it soon. Given everything we have done, I will rate the appliances #4, with #5 to be considered in the not to distance future.

The drying cycles are fast and efficient, saving me time and energy. Every load comes out perfectly dry, fluffy, and ready to wear. 3. Intuitive Features: This dryer packed with smart features that make doing laundry a breeze. The built-in AI technology automatically selects the best drying cycle for each load, ensuring optimal results every time. 4. Whisper-Quiet Operation: I was pleasantly surprised by how quiet this dryer is. Even during the heaviest loads, it operates smoothly and quietly, allowing me to do laundry at any time of the day without disturbing the household. 5. Energy Efficiency: The dryer is environmentally friendly and easy on the wallet. I've noticed a significant decrease in my energy bills since I started using this dryer, which is an added bonus to its outstanding performance. In conclusion, the LG stackable dryer has exceeded all my expectations. It's a perfect blend of style, efficiency, and innovation. If you're in the market for a new dryer, look no further. Overall pleased with the dryer

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I purchased this dryer to pair with the new washer I purchased to replace a 13 year old LG washer that died. Overall I am pleased with the dryer. The sensor drying cycles can sometimes leave the clothes a bit damp or a bit over dried. The anti-static option, which injects steam into the drum a few minutes before the end of the cycle, is pretty useless. While it does inject steam, it also splatters water on the clothes so you end up with big wet spots on the otherwise dry clothes. My 13 year old dryer it replaced also this issue. I had hoped over 13 years that LG would have addressed this design flaw, but apparently not. It would also be nice if the ThinQ app would allow me to create a custom cycle to download instead of just allowing a download from a predefined list of cycles.

Gorgeous and amazing functions!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought the pair and they are both incredible, they work together really well and the dryer has awesome features, I love the steam functions-which is connected directly to the washer so you don't have to add water manually. They dry so fast and you get alerts on your phone, can control it from your phone. And its gorgeous! I'm very happy with both the washer and dryer!

Dryer has 1 job. Can't do it.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Has 1 job. Doesn't do it. This dryer looks nice and has satisfying controls, but the dryer sensor doesn't work and it cuts off before completely drying a load. So instead of nice clean laundry, we have to contend with damp, mildewy surprise. It shouldn't be that hard to create a dryer that actually dries clothes.
