So sorry that I bought this crab. It did not have a crab taste at all. It was gray in color, not a hint of the normal red outline, and not good . I wasted the other ingredients r by trying ti use it for crab cakes.

Good quality blue crab meat. Pieces are pretty lumpy, convenient for making crab dip, crab cakes, crab toast, baked crab rolls and soups... Saves time and hassle when looking for quick options. I used half the container and froze the other half for later use. Considering how many crabs you actually have to pick to get 1lb of meat, it's a good deal.

The taste was not bad. However, in comparison to other lump crab meat I’ve purchased the smell was pungent. It was 3 days before and all of the stores were sold out, Sam’s was the only place I could find it. Opened smelled it, tasted it and continued with the dish I was preparing

Needed crab meat for recipe I was making. Instead of going to multiple stores, I remembered Sam’s carried it and I was quickly able to get it from the refrigerated seafood section. After draining some water out of the container, the crab meat was packaged well still in large clumps. Tasted fresh and delicious for what I needed to make.

The crabmeat was moist and fresh. I was surprised to find there were any pieces of crab shell. This is the first time I have come across crabmeat without annoying pieces of crab shell. I'll definitely buy it again. I'd feel safe making a curry using it.

I recently purchased the 1lb Jumbo Lump Crabmeat, and I couldn’t be happier with my choice. The crabmeat was incredibly fresh and had a sweet, delicate flavor that truly stood out. The large, tender chunks were perfect for making crab cakes and added a luxurious touch to my seafood salad. What impressed me the most was the quality and consistency of the meat. There were no shells or cartilage, just pure, delicious crabmeat. It was evident that great care was taken in the preparation and packaging. I highly recommend this product to anyone looking for top-notch crabmeat. Whether you’re making a special dish for a dinner party or just treating yourself, this Jumbo Lump Crabmeat is worth every penny!

I made a seafood salad with another brand of crabmeat and it had so many tiny pieces of the shells, even after I went through it really well. I could not eat it and did not want to share with anyone. This brand is pricey but I did not find one piece of shell. Everyone really enjoyed it so much that it was well worth the extra money. I bought another container to make for Christmas. My sister-in-law said it used to be $17.00. That's a big price increase but I don't trust buying any other brand.

It's a decent product for the price, but the label is obviously intended to mask the grocery store shredded crab meat in the middle. The top and bottom are packed with what you see in the picture. Nice, lump crabmeat. Once you open the container, you can clearly see the shredded bits of meat like you would find in any other tin of supermarket crab meat.

It was crab meat and some of it was lump (top and bottom) with the middle being bits and pieces. Meat was sweet, but this is not what I am used to as blue crab meat. Good deal, but not the same as Phillips or other standard brands. Originally for the east coast thus a bit particular about crab meat.

This is a great value for crabmeat. It is packed and sealed so the expiry date is generous, meaning you do not have to freeze if you don't want to use it right away. You can pop the container in the refrigerator and forget about it for a month and it will still be good. (NOTE: if you open it, you have to use it all as the now broken seal will not preserve the crabmeat longer than a few days.) Makes great crabcakes and crab soup. Sometimes I just steam the contents of the container in an apple cider vinegar and water steaming pot. Within 7 minutes you'll have delicious crabmeat you can enjoy with just a fork. Good stuff!
