Well picked, but not all lump

Great lump crabmeat on top and bottom of container, but within the container there was just regular fine crabmeat. Good quality, but misleading representation.

Okay for Crab cakes not all lump

I'm not sure I would call this lump crabmeat - it seems to be bigger pieces on the outside and more finer crab meat on the inside (so not all lump) but for the price it's okay for crab cakes.

Better if sourced from USA

Good crabmeat but it is sadly NOT sourced from USA. Sam's Club used to sell DELICIOUS handpicked and pasteurized blue lump crab meat from NC at much better price, too. I would MUCH MORE PREFER USA sourced seafood and meat.

Looks can be deceiving...

Looks can be deceiving. On the top of the container, you can see lump crabmeat. Midway through, it appears to be special crab meat. It needs to be lump crabmeat throughout.

False advertising! NOT BLUE CRAB MEAT!

This is NOT BLUE CRAB meat! It is from overseas and swimming crab. False advertising. This product should be removed from your stores. The taste is fair.

has a very fishy taste

I purchased the crabmeat to put in seafood gumbo and to make crab cakes. This is not USA crab meat which it does say its not but its all they had. it totally changed the taste of my food especially the gumbo, it had a VERY VERY fishy taste not like the wonderful tasting blue crab meat from USA

Cheapening of quality to improve the bottom line

If the option was no stars, or even minus stars, I would have given it the lowest rating. Why? I always taste a little before using so I can adjust my ingredients. This product was really bad. Even rinsing the crab meat did not help much. The brand they had been using for years but discontinued was far superior.

Lump crabmeat Disaster

When we opened the pack there was only lump crabmeat on the top layer and bottom of the container. The remainder was not lump at all.

DO NOT BUY

Disappointed! Not only was there just a few pieces of "lump crab meat" but the whole container rancid. Purchased 2, and they were both the same. Will NEVER purchase again.

We Did NOT Appreciate Intentional Deception!

This crab meat was inedible and unacceptable, and we returned for full credit. First of all, the transparent packaging showed lump crab meat throughout, but when it was opened, we found the lump meat was ONLY on the outside (visible) layer of the container. Thes rest was filled with a bunch of shredded crab that was the lowest possible quality. The final straw was that the entire container smelled extremely "off" and we were never going to take a chance on eating it. We've had Sam's Club lump crab meat before without an issue, but not after this experience. I'm not sure when (or even if) they changed suppliers, but their product is no longer even minimally acceptable. And to add insult to injury, the Sam's Club price was the exact same as fresh lump crab meat from the local seafood market.
