This is my second Westinghouse generator. The first one performed well and reliably through several power outages and winter storms. I love the push-button start and duel fuel options. I bought the 9500DFc when I decided I wanted to be able to power more of my house. The first one was a smaller generator. If this new one works as reliably as my first one, I will be happy.

Bought this generator to replace one that was not working and didn't meet my power needs. Shopped the internet and retail stores for the size, features and price that fit. This generator checked all the boxes. Easy to set up and get going, started quickly, right out of the box. Westinghouse generators had great ratings for reliability. Needed accesories included. Well pleased!

This is a Heavy Duty machine that every body that can afforded should have one for any circumstances in need special in emergencies in your house or a business, living in my childhood in a 3rd world country and now in a state that hurricanes at all levels likes to visit constantly this product after God can save you even your live, don't hesitate thinking twice to get one of this, We just got ours and haven't use it jet, I'm opened just now from the box and even If I never use it I have a relieve that it's there when I need it, looking forward to turned on to see if everything is in place!! So exited!!

I just received the generator 3 days ago, so I have not been able to give it a thorough test during a power outage. With luck, I won't need to. Unpacking, adding the oil and assembling the legs and wheels and was super easy - if one uses a socket wrench. I recommend that. I read the instructions for starting and after hooking up the propane I tested both electric and manual start. I tried the manual start first and was very pleasantly surprised when the generator started on the first pull. I charged the battery a few hours and then gave the electric start a test. Again, the generator started right up. To test the 120 outlets, I plugged in a leave blower and turned it on and gathered up a pile of leaves. I am very happy that I purchased this model. I will be able to power my whole house during the next outage and that gives me a good sense of security.

I bought this several months ago and finally got around to testing it. I opted to use propane and after one try with the electric start, it fired up and ran perfect for 5 minutes for an initial trial. It is set up to run my downstairs which will be the necessities in case of an outage. It is easy to manage when rolling out of my garage. Hope I don't need to use it but, confident in the unit if the need arises.

We haven’t had to use the generator in an emergency situation yet.. But I’m confident it will power the house when the need arises. Only ran it on propane so far. I look forward to many many years with this generator as a reliable whole home emergency power back up

Bought a 10 days ago, just delivered yesterday. So far, great. Getting ready to start it up per break-in. Packing was good, only few things to put together. Unit seems well made and logical to use. Really appreciate the built in battery charger and charger supplied. Good design and a built in charging port. Don't have to hook up my trickle charger.

This will be a lengthy review and I am in now way being compensated or have any affiliation with Westinghouse. Start with delivery and unboxing: they delivered as promised using XPO, who I had never heard of prior. They were very personable and took good care of the generator prior to and during delivery. They placed it exactly where I wanted in my garage. A+ on delivery. Next assembly and set up: I followed the manual exactly. If you read carefully and FOLLOW THE DIRECTIONS” you will see the entire quart of included SAE 10-30 oil needs to be added to the generator and they even include a funnel which I did think “what a nice touch”. Everything went smoothly and there were a couple things I noticed. 1. There is a cut off valve on the fuel line for the gas. I would recommend never getting a generator without one because when you are done using your generator you should cut off the fuel and then let it run until it uses all the fuel in the carb so it does not crystallize prior to you using it again. 2. It was so easy to switch between gas and propane, also well explained in the manual. 3. Battery was already charged but they included a battery charger with this model that plugs into a normal 110 outlet and then plugs into the faceplate on the generator to top off the battery. In the owners manuals it states not to leave it plugged into this charger as it is not a trickle charger and may overcharge the battery if it is left charging more than 8 hours. ANOTHER GREAT UNEXPECTED ADDITION. 4 The pairing of the key fob for the auto start was a little weird but, again, if you follow the directions exactly even though it seems weird it worked the first time. 5. It included the wheel and handle kit unlike a lot of other generators I previously priced and researched. Nice size and sturdy wheels as well. Starting: 1. I used propane and I used the auto start. The first time it did not start on the first or second attempt but fired right up on the third and I think that is normal because the fuel had to make it to the motor. 2. Although it did not start on the first crank it had an auto feature that it automatically tries 3 cranks before failing and turning the start/stop indicator to red indicating a start failure. I only pushed the button once. Great feature!!! 3. I love the counter that shows usage to help you determine when to service. Things it came with I was unaware of: 1 a small tool kit 2. Quart of 4 cycle motor oil 3. A fully charged battery 4. A 6.6 gallon main fuel tank for gas which should give you around 12-14 hours of run time. The only negative thing and I hate to mention it because I feel like I am wanting to eat my cake and have it as well. The generator is noisy! It is a 12,500 watt generator and is going to be loud, but be prepared to use some longer cabling and extension cords to get it away from you. We are using this generator to power our home during hurricane and cold weather power losses here in TX. VERY HAPPY WITH THE PIRCHASE!!! It is definitely big enough to run the whole home heater, all three refrigerators, and one freezer as well as all lights and entertainment as well. Advice: if you are using it to power your home speak to your electrician before buying a interlock kit as different breaker boxes use different kits. Great job Westinghouse

Generator arrived in good shape even though the box looked rough, good packing protected the generator. Came with most items needed to use right away(battery, oil, NG and propane hoses, and remote control. Still in the break in phase but so far all is good.

Just recieved this generator as of this email. Generator seems very well built and seems like it will last for many years. Noise level of generator isn't overly loud but I would say it is comperable to the same size generators on the market. Also one of the wheels rubbs on the battery as it turns but that might be something I need to adjust. Also weight of generator is of comperable generators on the market. Love the push botton start and keyless start.
