I'm very happy with my generator, arrived in good condition, with all manuals and accessories. To remove the generator, I cut along the bottom of the box on all 4 sides and lifted straight up. After connecting the two halves of the battery cables together, adding oil and the propane cable to the tank, it was ready to start. Turn the knob to propane, engine control switch to run and used the remote start (already programmed). It started on the 2nd attempt. Let it run for 5 min and turned off the propane as recommended. My electrician commented it wasn't as loud as he expected. Not very noticeable from inside my house either. When I tried to connect the 50 amp cable I purchased separately (Conntek 15306), this was problematic since the elbow connector was blocked by the wheel. I uploaded a photo showing the issue. I was forced to prop up the frame on a modified 2x4 and remove the wheel. With the cable connected to the generator, I connected the other end to my home power inlet. Started up the generator, turned on the main breaker and turned all the switches on my transfer switch from utility to generator. Forgot to mention I also needed to connect a ground cable to the frame which was recommended by my electrican. The 9500DF powered 10 circuits with power to spare. I was instructed to be careful running more than two appliances at the same time and watch the meter on my transfer switch to ensure both sides (5+5) were somewhat balanced. Other than the the issue with the wheel, which can probably be avoided by choosing a different type of cable connector, this is a 5 star product that I can rely on in an emergency. I would recommend getting a 2 stage propane regulator cable so you can swap out the empty tank without turning off the generator.

I purchased this generator 3 months ago, and luckily I didn't need to use it, however I did turn it on twice just to run it. The first time it started up after a few times and I ran it for several hours. A month later, I tried running it again and it took a longer time to start it. After awhile I was able to run it for several hours. Today, I am trying again and it starts up, then shuts down after a minute or so. After I purchased this generator, I was asked to write a review and I would receive a cover for the generator, however I never received the cover. I also wrote the review based on the first time starting it. My brother is still trying to get it to start.

I purchased this generator in January,2022. Love it! So many features including key fob to start. I can run it on gas or propane with 1 switch. Easy to move. I can run my entire house with power to spare! I would purchase again and recommend to anyone needing a generator. Love it! Andy,Sc

I just purchased the Wgen9500DF generator to upgrade and replace my Generac GP6500. The Westinghouse offers more power and features for the money. Added a interlock switch to my home breaker panel and outlet to plug this unit in and power my home. I have only used it for testing purposes, but I am prepared for a power outage now.

Bought this Genset April 2021. Worked excellent till it didn't Feb 2022 Control panel problem. Called support within a couple of days they had the warranty repair set up.Had it back fixed like new. in about 2 weeks..Rare in todays world to have a warranty issue taken care of so fast and easy. Now the genset works just like new again. This is my 3rd genset of various brands and is what I should have started with. lots if power makes wife happy can run whole house when power goes out

This generator was easy to set up following the instructions It also started right up using the start button . My old generator did not have electric start so this is a great feature.i also like the trickle charger included this guarantees it will turn over in cold weather.so far i have only used it to operare some small items to break it in but it has had no problems

This generator is really nice! Very well packaged on a pallet so I was confident there was no damage from being in transit. Followed the simple quick start guide and it started on the very first try using propane...that way I did not have to drain gasoline after testing. Can't wait to use it for the next power outage.

Great product, great instructions on putting together with supplied tool kit. Easy and only took 10 minutes. Put the supplied oil in and gas in the tank. used the remote start and it fired right up. We are now ready for the power outages from the storms.

Generator works well for 1500 square-foot home. Generator is easy to use Put together and to understand. Weston house is a well-known company with good products and this is one of them. I will purchase this generator again if I had to or other Western House products.

We recently bought a new home which already had a transfer switch installed for the specific WGen9500DF I purchased. The previous owner kept the WGen9500DF he had the home wired for and I was pleased to learn it provided sufficient power for all of the necessities in the event of a storm, i.e., HVAC, Stove/Oven, Refrigerator and lighting. I hope we never have to use it in the event we need it, but I am comfortable it will meet our needs in the event of a hurricane or other power outage.
