Purchased generator to provide power to the house through a 50 amp service in case of outage. Followed assembly and setup instructions. Hooked up to a propane tank to test until I get the natural gas hookup completed. The generator fired up on the first try and ran smooth. Very happy so far, just need to finish the break in period before use

Glad we got the generator. Had it professionally hooked up to home circuit breaker board. The Westinghouse WGen 12000 peak with a running 9500 will run our central a/c, our refrigerator, t.v. , internet, ceiling fan with lighting and stove/oven with simple meal preparation. Home is nearly 2200 sq. ft. under central a/c.

I purchased this on preparation for hurricane season, and it's good to have one any time of the year when the power goes out. I wanted one that had the option of gas or propane, and high enough running wattage on both to run what we plan to. I'm setting it up so that it can be connected to our breaker panel and provide 50 amp service, then use the breakers to decide what gets power and when. I initially set up and tested the generator when I received it, no issues and ran well. I have had to use it once during a brief power outage we had recently, and since I don't have the breaker panel setup going yet, just used an extension cable. We ran our refrigerator, a light, and my wife's dryer for a bit, no issues. I haven't had a chance to put a heavy load on it yet, so we'll see how it goes when I do.

I purchased the generator about 4 months ago after outages in our area. While I have not had to use the generator, I found it easy to set up and prepared for use. The generator started up immediately and responded to the remote starter right away. I am pleased with our decision to choose Wesrtinghouse!

Hubby bought this generator to be prepared no matter what for winters and camping trips. The dual fuel option is a huge plus and the wheels and handle for easier movement is really nice. Looking forward to the added security of having a backup generator if power ever goes out and this one sure looks like it’s up for the job!

I bought this several weeks ago to replace my current generator. After researching and reading up I decided to go with this Westinghouse WGen9500DF. I liked the fact that it had a dual fuel feature. Gas or propane. Since I already have a large propane tank for my hot tub I had another line run for me to hook up the generator. Having gone through the hurricane last year we were without power for several hours. Many of my neighbors were without for several days. At least with this Westinghouse9500 I will be able to keep the important things up and running. Especially the well and the sump pumps. refrigerators and such. I also liked the fact the unit has a remote start feature. No need to pull the cord to start it up. I liked the info that came with it as well. And putting it together (wheels & foot pads) were no problem. It included the wrench to put them on. I feel I bought a quality generator that will work well for me and my home when the time comes.

I picked this generator up a few days ago, easy to set up, and I fired it up, using the remote button and hooked up to Propane. It fired right up! I let it run for about 15 minutes plugged in a couple of things, a small heater, and it never flinched. Even if I never have to use it, it is great comfort to know I can keep my family warm in the winter and cool in the summer and be able to have hot water and run most appliances with this baby! Being a tri-fuel product, I am in the country and don’t expect to use the natural gas but it’s a good feeling knowing I can use gasoline or propane.

I bought this for a backup for my home which loses power too often. It is powerful enough for its size and has some nice features like the wheels and handles that don't always come with other generators, as well as the remote start. The fact that it runs on dual fuel is also a plus if you run out of gas you can switch over without missing a beat.

We live in the middle of the woods. We had thought of going with a whole home generator. Talk about pricey for just a few times a year. We opted to go with one large enough to help if it happens. Super price and my hubby loves the remote start. No more sitting in the dark for us. This will make our life so much simpler. In between, I KNOW my hubby has other ideas on how to use it. Thanks

I bought this generator a couple of weeks ago. My intent was to replace my current portable generator with one that runs the whole house - including central air conditioning - while running the generator on propane. This generator does both very well. I had my whole house up and running via the WGen9500DF generator - on propane - in 5 minutes.
