Pros: Excellent start out of the box. Easy operation. Generator trickle charges battery while running. Manual has good instructions. Good features with battery disconnect, wall charger for battery when generator not running, carburetor drain for storage. CONS: Too loud for my preference.

I just bought this generator. It was very easy to assemble. The generator started up on gasoline easily the first time. It’s a powerful generator with great reliability reviews at a reasonable price. I am looking forward to many years of use from this generator.

I will preface this review with the fact that it has not been through the paces of an after hurricane power outage. My 5 star review reflects the quality of materials, the initial setup and properly written instructions. If you're in a hurricane prone area, this is a necessary investment, and this model, so far has been excellent. I did plug in multiple devices, and there was no change in the generator's performance. Hopefully I will not need to write a follow up, but if I do, then I will come back and report how things went. Next step is to hire an electrician to install a transfer switch.

Just received the generator and have set it up which was very easy. Have not had to use the generator as power has been restored, but feel very confident in the product when that time comes. Has a ton more features on it than I originally though when buying it.

After extensive research I purchased the WGen9500 to power my necessary household electronics. The electrician hooked up the transfer switch and cable box and now I'm able to power my 3 ton heat pump unit, fridge, and necessary lighting. Customer service was great. After unpacking I couldn't find remote. Less than 24 hrs after my call, I received a call and the service rep walked me through the places to look and sure enough it was attached to the pull start cord. Setup was easy - 2 pads and 2 wheels. Easily movable with handle. Hopefully will never lose power but if we do it is nice knowing that I have something that will power the essentials.

I bought this to use around my place when the electricity goes off. It will run all of the necessary things I need in my house and three chest freezers in my cellar. I really like the battery charger that comes with it. It has never failed to start when I need it, runs just like a new one all the time. The 6.6 gallon gas tank is handy too. Not sure on the hours it will run, but I haven’t run it out yet. I am really impressed with this generator and the price was great too.

Instructions and setup are easy and ready to run in 20 minutes. The battery came charged. And all the tools needed, including oil was included. I do note the gas gauge seems to show only 1/2 tank with 6 gallons added. I may need to check with help if gauge is faulty.

I’m in a high fire area and power shutoffs are routine. I’m 77 and live alone. I’ve had other generators that I can’t start or run easily,,,this is the exception. I like it so much, I just ordered a second one. I have wells and freezers to run,,,,this machine can handle it and I don’t need to worry. thanks Westinghouse.

Everything was simple to put together, heavy generator for sure until wheels go on then just fine. Load tested it on house good to go. If i had to pick 1 or 2 things I'd say first they only give you 1 quart of oil and it takes a tad more. Secondly they claim 6.6 gallon gas tank i think that's a bit optimistic...i over fill my 5 gallon has can cause i can so think it's more like a 6 gallon tank. Lastly, and i guess i kinda knew it, if your going to have a remote control for a start I'd say be sure it has some sort of auto choke cause otherwise what is the point.

I bought this because it had everything i needed and then some. great options and love the duel fuel option as a great backup. Im going with 4 stars because the box came with oil leaked all over the side and the generator was covered as well. also had a dent on the top. A little irritated that I spent over 1k and have to deal with the little things like this.
