We bought this after being out of power 3 days with hurricane Helene. Received very quickly, unboxed, minor assembly, checked the oil, flipped the battery switch and it started right up. It's been a livesaver for my Veteran husband who needs consistant air and power for his Cpap. Thank you Westinghouse for this great product!!

I bought this generator a couple of months ago and I'm very pleased with the features (dual fuel Propane and Gasoline, on-line fuel switching w/o the need to shutdown the generator, push-button and remote start, low noise (decibels), multiple outlets)

The recent hurricane and power loss sealed the deal for the need for emergency power. Whole home generator packages are way out of my budget, but this generator is. Plus, the capability to use 3 different fuel sources provide tremendous flexibility, especially the ability to connect to my home NG line so I don't have to worry about finding fuel and refilling. It provides enough power to keep my food safe, run 1 AC, and a portion of my home loads to keep my family comfortable when the grid goes down. Runs smooth and looks and feels like quality.

My previous 7800watt generator lasted about 18 years so the bar is set high. This Westinghouse generator is now 2 years old and works like it just came out of the box. The peak power to >12k is awesome. I have a large 2 story home with well pump, central air, 2 freezers, a frig, computers, tv's, etc, and I can run all of them on this generator without any issues. I have had to use twice, once for 6 hours and once for 12 hours, and both times it ran great. It is quieter than my previous generator and moves around easily. Great product!

After loss of power for over a day I decided to purchase this WGen9500DFc generator. It will be plugged into my 50 amp switch panel and will run almost all of my house except for the electric stove/oven. It started fine after turning it over a few times to get the gas into the carb. I also used the remote starter and that worked also. For the price and quality of this generator I would highly recommend it.

Purchased on 8/3/21 was delivered today 8/10/21. After opening the box, found it contained everything needed to start using it minus the fuel. Have already done the break in period and have found no issues so far. I have only ran it on propane and waiting to try gas. Love the added feature of remote start. This well rounded full feature unit. Now we will see how it holds up to use and time.

I spent hours mulling over which generator to buy. Finally decided on the big WGen9500. This should have plenty of power for my whole house when mother nature cuts us off from the grid. Same basic dimensions as most open frame generators but it is darned heavy due to its huge capacity. It is not quiet, but similar to a 4000W other brand that it is replacing. The 30 Amp L14-30R fits with my existing long cord and wall inlet so I don't have to make any changes right away. However, in order to use all of the power I'll have to upgrade everything between the generator and the house panel. Why have 12,500 peak amps if I can't get it to the house? Setup was quick and simple. Wheel kit and feet took only a couple minutes. Filled it with oil and some gas. Connected the battery with the quick connection now included. One push of the electric start button and it was off and running. Same with the remote start fob, didn't even have to pair it with the generator. The manual start was not the first pull start. Have to give it a pretty quick yank to fire it up with the pull cord. Nice to have multiple options for starting. We'll see how it does when we lose power and really need it, but great so far. I never give 5 stars but might want to rethink that after putting this through its paces.

The Westinghouse WGen9500DF is an outstanding generator! With dual fuel capability, it offers great flexibility and delivers impressive power at 12,500 peak surge watts and 9,500 running watts. Runs great. Had an issue with no power at 120 outlets at first. Contacted customer service and received a quick reply advising me to try the outlet resets located in the middle of the outlet. I had not seen them. Problem solved. Very pleased with generator and customer service.

I bought this item last month and was very pleased with how quickly it was to get started and move it around. I gave a 4 star because two of the screws that connect the feet (assembly required) were not large for the pre-drilled hole resulting in stripping one of the screws to attach one of the feet. Otherwise, we installed the fixtures to our home and it powers up all the items we need (heat, air conditioning, appliances and other).
