I had this shipped to an Electrician so cam over to install a transfer switch. After cutting open the Box, I had the wheels installed, legs on, oil in, and propane tank hooked up in 20 min. Connected the battery, and this thing started up immediately. Very satisfied with the packing, the tools that came with it, ( included the 4- stroke oil) and the manuals. Great product out of the box.

I purchased this generator as a standby power source in the event of a power outage. Shipping was fast and product arrived in good condition. Followed initial startup procedures, and generator started as expected using propane as the fuel source. I really like the dual fuel feature. After break-in period I used the generator to power my house, worked great. I would definitely recommend this generator!

I purchased this model wgen9500df April of 2021. I chose this model and brand because of its reputation and other online reviews it did not disappoint! Was able to hook it up to my main house panel using a interlock switch Powers my whole house now! Easy to start with either push button , remote control or pull start great product!

Great portable home generator. Has the power to run the items needed after loss of power from hurricanes and tropical storms. Our electrician created an easy hookup for our generator with an interlock in the electrical panel to prevent potential damage to our electrical system when the power comes back on. Nice to have the choice of gasoline or propane. We use ethanol-Free gasoline to prevent gum-up in the carburetor and run the unit every 2 months. It comes with a quick disconnect for the battery when not in use. The remote start is also a nice feature.

I purchased this Generator as I live in Ontario and Winter storms are a certainty, and I wanted something to keep the lights on and the heating working. This generator is superbly well made. I checked all fittings when it arrived, and all were tight. The unit is made of very high quality material and feels as though it will last for decades. The control panel is comprehensive and very intuitive to use. My highest praise is for the instruction manual/user guide - they are extremely clear and easy to follow and you need no knowledge of generators to get this up and running in minutes. There is only point I would make, and it is an observation and not a criticism...the unit is shipped without the wheels and feet attached and the user must turn it onto it's side to do this. The generator is very heavy and a person not able to move a very heavy item is likely to need assistance to do this. I am so impressed with this generator that I almost want a power outage to happen so I can enjoy the peace of mind this generator has given me.

Power going out more frequently bought the 9500 duel fuel so I could use propane and don’t have to worry about gasoline sitting in the tank for extended periods. This generator should have plenty to run the essential. Have faith in the Westinghouse name.

Have heard great things about this Westinghouse Wgen9500 series of generators; and so far this appears to be true, but I am only still in the early "break-in" phase....and it has not been put to the test. Can not say the same about the choice of shipping companies; as delivery was several days after stated date; and the item had obviously been mishandled, and even stood on end; as the bottle of oil had been crushed with over half leaking out all over the contents in the box in that end.....not across the bottom of the box where you would expect it to be if sitting on the base as it should be.

My first ever generator and it’s been an amazing experience. It was super easy to set up with clear instructions with pictures and all. They really thought about everything. The manual is very informative about scheduled maintenance and how to troubleshoot in case of any issues. I highly recommend this generator!

I've only had this generator for a few days and have used it consistently for power outage. connected several appliances and seems that it doesn't effect it's function at all. I ran refrigerator, tv, several lights and 3 portable heaters trying to keep in mind to watch how much wattage i'm using. I am thus far very pleased with this generator and would recommend to purchase.

After the five hour break in using natural gas, we plugged the generator into our houses power inlet box and every thing worked great. With a soft starter added to our 3 ton AC this generator easily keeps up with the electric needs of our 1200 sqft house. Hopefully we're ready for the next storm or freeze.
