I bought this unit Nov 10th was delivered Nov 14th. Was easy to assemble. Just follow the directions. The directions are excellent and in detailed. The first time I started the generator it started on the first pull. Ran smooth. I then shut it off and tried the electric start and it fired right up.

Before making such a big purchase I did a lot of shopping and research on different generators and which would be the best choice for my family. I needed one that would be dependable, could run an RV or a section of my house when we loose power. The WGen9500DF came with clear instructions of initial set up, how to crank, and how to add to the load in stages. I chose to run it with propane instead of gas so it would run cleaner and propane has a longer shelf life. But I am glad to have the option to do either. We have not lost power yet, but the set up and initial cranking has been exactly what I was hoping for.

I’ve installed wheels and when I was checking to see if the drain was closed before adding oil I see a Happy Face next to the drain hole! It’s a very solid generator and turned over easily both with pull start and the battery. I’m very happy with the Dual Fuel choice. I live in South Louisiana. And when we have hurricanes I hear the whole home propane generators fail for lack of fuel after 3 days and people become frantic to get a truck delivery of fuel. I learned after Katrina that you need to moderate your fuel consumption to what is available locally. Gasoline and portable propane tanks are easily acquired after a few days post storm. I’ve done 32 days after Katrina (north of New Orleans in the country and trees came down due to tornados from the storm) and 5 days from a smaller storm. I don’t like storaging a lot of raw gasoline, so I’ll have some on hand but do the propane until normal living is restored 🤪. I’m tickled with this new generator. Great reputation too!!

We bought this in January and got it set up in case we needed it. Of course, there was a snowstorm and we were glad to have it. I ran great. We love having the option of gas or propane. We will not use it often, we hope, but when you need it, it worked great. Would recommend this product for sure.

Very happy with this generator. I searched for a long time before deciding on this one but and very glad i purchased this one. Its duel fuel, came with everything we needed. Very well built. . Also electric start since i am an older lady. It has very easy to follow instructions and cranked right up out of the box. Gives me a little more peace knowing i can at least save my food and have some heat if we have power outages now.

It has a lot of power the support a house during the power outage without breaking bank, very portable and dual fuel option is awesome, I ran out of gasoline in the middle of the night and swapped to LPG tank which I can keep so many of them in my garage for years without any trouble and save the night. Noise not bad for that power output level, remote start is nice.

I bought this over a year ago. Worked great. Only used a couple times but ran my large home with ease. On Monday of this week I decided to start it just to exercise it. It would not start. Long story short , I called Westinghouse service Monday, had the new switch Thursday, and I am up and running.

I took delivery of the generator three days ago. When I opened the box I noticed the wheel kit was missing. I called Westinghouse and clicked through the normal phone prompts, and was disconnected. I tried this several more times, and was again disconnected each time. I guess they don't answer the phone on Saturdays. Upon further inspection of the generator box, I found the wheel kit was actually in the box. This was embarrassing. Nevertheless, I unboxed the generator and was quite impressed with the build quality. I was also impressed with the attention to detail Westinghouse had with everything, from the assembly process to the thorough owners manual. After filling with oil and fuel, the engine fired up on the first try. Very impressed! Nice work guys. I hope my long-term impressions are as good as my initial ones.

Hurricanes and winter storms can leave us without electric service—sometimes for days. I had an electrician install a simple connector to provide me an input that allows me to power my 2300 sq ft house all the lights, tv, even the central A/C (but not the furnace.) And because it runs on gas or propane, I can borrow the tank from my gas grill if the gas stations can’t pump gas because their powers out.

I purchased this generator recently after seeing so many great reviews for this product. The great reviews were accurate. This generator is solidly constructed and is an absolute workhorse. I would highly recommend the Westinghouse 9500 Dual Fuel generator to anyone in need of a portable generator capable of running most if not all systems in a home during a power outage.
