Motor or Generator is seized.

Generator was delivered with no noticeable damage. Opened the box and followed the instructions (Installed Feet, Wheels, Plugged Battery into the quick disconnect, Oil, and 1 gallon of gas. Hit the electric start, starter engaged but then engine did not turn over. Stater started to smoke a little so I immediately disconnected the battery. Tried the pull started and it did not budge. Took the spark plug out to release any pressure, tried the pull start again with the same result. Motor would not budge. Customer Service leaves a lot to be desired.

Great features with many options.

I bought this about 3 months ago and we just had a tornado come through. This house keeps on running with this generator so no worries about losing any food and stay cool. Being able to switch from different fuels is nice when needed. Would defiantly would buy this again.

Wgen9500DF Review

After much research I purchased the When9500DF. Dual fuel is very important where I’ll use propane as the primary fuel source and gasoline as the secondary if need be. There were no delivery issues and all advertised accessories (wheels, stands, funnel, oil, etc) were included. Instructions are easy to read and easy.to understand. After initial preparations for wheels and stands installation, battery prep, engine oil and propane hose connection, the generator started up on the first try. Wow! Very cool. I will be connecting the Wgen9500DF via a 50 amp cable to a manual transfer switch to run important appliances during power outages. The generator will be enclosed in a noise enclosure to lessen noise and keep good relations with my neighbors. Although I haven’t put the Wgen9500DF through a full suite of tests, I’m confident it’ll pass with flying colors. And when you add on.Westinghouse customer service it’s a win win.

Great features & easy set up

The generator and accessories arrived in perfect condition. The included plastic pad made it easy to tip the unit on its side to attach the wheels and rubberized supports. Then, the long folding handle made it easy to bring up the steps and onto the back porch! The instructions are very clear and it came with everything needed, including a power supply to charge the starting battery, propane hookup, and a fob for remote start. It even came with oil and a funnel! I like how it can run off gasoline or propane as we have both on hand, this being a somewhat rural area. I purchased a 14-50P (50A RV) to 4x120V 20A adapter. This is perfect as there are 4 areas in the house requiring power. One of the two GFI outlets will be available for the livestock water tank de-icer and I appreciate the safety factor. The maintenance schedule is reasonable although checking valve clearance after 100 hours of use (or every 6 months) seems a bit frequent. 100 hours is only 4 days, 4 hours, and power outages in this region have gone this long before. However, checking/adjusting valve clearance is very clearly stated in the manual. If you have a feeler gauge and torque wrench it should be no problem.

Runs Entire 2400 Sq Ft Home with 4K HVAC

Hooked up to home using the 50A plug on generator, Twenty foot/ 50A extension cord, Reliance PBN50 power inlet box, 6 ga. THHN wires to 50A breaker with mechanical interlock switch in electric panel. Runs entire home with 4 ton AC. Now for the disclaimer. My 4 ton American Standard condenser is new and pulls less than 40 amps when compressor kicks in. If your condenser is old, or if you can hear it hitting hard when it starts, you may have to install a soft or hard start kit on the condensing unit. I have only tested this for about an hour but cycled the AC on and off a few times and the generator performed very well. I'm in Houston area and the temp was almost 90 with ridiculous humidity when I ran this test.

Works great!

I bought this a month ago and it took me a little while to get around to starting it for the first time. Had a little trouble, but worked it out (make sure the 'auto' choke engages, it might need a little help). Lots of power and less noise than my previous generator.

Works well so far

I bought this to power my house during outages, so far so good! No outages yet but it started on the first try (on propane) and tested it, running my house on it (well pump, microwave, 2 refrigerators, tv, etc). My previous generator was gas only, and had occasional issues with carb clogging and fuel storage. Looking forward to not dealing with that!

Great generator

Tired of being without power no matter the season, I picked this one for Load size and previous reviews. It arrived fast and setup was easy. Fired up immediately. Love the remote start!! Be bonus is the dual fuel...I always have propane. Combined with cleaner running, this is the generator to get!

Heavy Duty - Exactly as described

Had a couple of smaller generators and upgraded to this specifically because I plan on having a manual transfer switch installed. Ready for hurricane season and any other time we loose power. Will be running the generator today for the first time. Setup was easy and directions were clear.

Dual Fuel is so useful

I had another dual fuel generator years ago but didn't do a good job of maintaining it, so got a Westinghouse. Barely used the old generator despite living through 4 hurricane seasons in Florida, so I have a tank of old gas and no easy way to get rid of it. The new one will be powered just on propane, as I have two large propane tanks for my kitchen and outdoor grill and fire pit. No more gasoline!
