This genny arrived in pristine condition with nothing nicked, scratched, or broken. I'm impressed with the build qualit - this thing is a tank! I got it to run my 1 HP well pump in case of a power outage. It didn't even blink twice when the pump kicked on. Also, I'm delighted to see an engineering change from my WGen 7000 generator -- someone realized that having the collapsible handles by the hot exhaust was problematic. They're now on the opposite side of the generator. Finally, for the size of this generator, I was expecting it to be much louder than it is. It's just a normal volume for a gas generator. The electric start and the remote are wonderful. My rotator cuff thanks you. Overall, great generator!

My son in law bought a small generator during a power outage and had to run the refrigerator and window air conditioner in shifts. For a little more I equipped my home with the Westinghouse 9500 and am able to power most everything during a power outage. The remote start, alternate fuel source and multiple outlets make using it family friendly usage for all.

After reviewing a lot of products, I decided to order the Wgen9500DF. When it arrived it seemed to be sturdy and has great features just like all the reviews said. Unfortunately when I received this a week ago and it had water and rust in the fuel tank upon delivery. After calling Westinghouse about the issue all they did was take your name, phone number, and email address to have someone call you back. In which no one has even reached out in over a week. I will give Westinghouse the benefit of the doubt that covid and hurricane season has delayed the call back. Fortunately, the fuel tank has a fine mesh screen inside so none of the debris made it into the system. So after cleaning the fuel tank myself to remove all said debris, the product seems to work well. It comes with a 3 year warranty so time will tell.

I love that this generator can run off of propane as well as gas. It is easy to switch between the two, so we can be ready for long power outages. The remote start is also a bonus. I love the push button start feature. I could never pull start any generator we ever had.

After recent major power outages we had due to a tornado,I was looking for a generator with enough power to run my house and I chose this model for two important reasons:first it was affordable and second I saw this model in action and I was impressed.This generator was able to run two walk in freezers which saved a lot of food products from going bad, fans , lights, etc. I ordered this one a week ago and I picked it up today. I am almost done installing the electrical inlet and the interlock for my panel and after the plumber installs the quick connect for natural gas I will be prepared in case we have other power outages.Forgot to mention that the generator comes with a propane hose and a natural gas hose.

This is my second 9500DF. I used my first one once when I hooked up an interlock kit on my home. When I went to use it again, it would run but wouldn't make electricity. After swapping a few parts that Westinghouse recommended (and sent me), they told me to take it to their certified service center. They discovered it needed a new alternator. After almost 4 months and 2 failed attempts at shipping a new alternator, Westinghouse replaced the generator. When it works, it's great. Hopefully the second one will do better than the first.

We anticipate this generator will meet all of our power needs except HVAC in the event of a hurricane and long power outage. It has all of the power and features we need without the high price of a permanent generator. We'll be running it from and underground propane tank and with a transfer switch to our panel. We're happy with our purchase.

Got it out of the box, wheels and legs on, oil and gas in, battery connected and started in about 30 mim. I have not had it under full load yet but it has handled everything I have thrown at it. I purchased this for power out situations so I hope it will just sit here and collect dust, but I will be ready if needed.

I bought this generator a week ago to supplement my other solar powered work station.I was concerned about being able to get it setup and running but found the instruction manual well written, making in easy to setup and get running. I ran it both on propane and gasoline without any problems.

My old generator finally died. I upgraded to this monster. It powers the whole house, including my well, (old Gen didn't) and runs smooth with no real surge's. So far we are very impressed. Take notice, not only is it remote electric start, but they send you a trickle charger for the battery that Westinhouse includes. So your battery will last for years. I live in Enumclaw WA. Our town is known for the wind. The name Enumclaw is an old Indian name that means Evil Wind. We loose power a lot. I'm so glad to have this beast on the ready to plug into my house.
