I bought this to upgrade from a 5500W machine. I expected it to take up more space in the garage, but it's a compact and powerful machine. It came boxed and required installation of wheels, foot pads, and oil prior to running. Easily accomplished with clear directions.

Unboxing and setup was simple. One gripe was that there wasn't enough oil supplied to properly fill the engine. The battery came charged and started the engine easily using both gas and propane. There was a small drip coming from the fuel petcock, but went away on its own without intervention. Lastly, there should be a standard equipped energy monitor in order to calculate the amount of wattage being used so you know how much more load the generator can handle. Over all I am pleased with this product. I will leave another review after I have properly broke it in.

I purchased 2 different brand generators prior to this one, they both had issues and had to be returned. So pleased with this Westinghouse generator!! Instruction manual was very complete and made it so easy to set up. Started on the first try! Love the remote key fob and the battery maintainer - unexpected bonus!!! Wouldn't hesitate to recommend!!!

I was in the market for a portable generator and Westinghouse Gen 9500 DF is the one I like the best. Most people who have this unit are happy just as I am when it was delivered and have it tested on Profane gas. Look handsome, easy to operate. I am now ready for power outages.

The dual fuel feature generator is very attractive living in Florida. Options are important during power outages when gasoline may not be available at gas stations. The generator comes with a battery charger which I connected to power after installing the wheels, The charger shows a red light during the charging operation and it turns green when the battery is fully charged. My remote was already paired, but the manual provides instruction for pairing the unit with the included remote. Not as noisy as I had expected for the amount of power it produces. Everything is working as expected, and I have noticed that the engine runs very smoothly, even during this initial break-in period - as I'm getting it ready for its first use. Overall, the Westinghouse WGen9500DF impresses with the quality solid-build and I am very satisfied with this purchase.

Well built Generator easy to assemble it can power my whole house I live in Florida where hurricanes can knock your power out for days. I have 4 generators and this one will be my go to. Electric start and remote start, you can be inside the house and start the generator without going outside in the weather ( Love That )

I purchased this last month and am so pleased with it. It has the power and features that anyone would want. Even a remote start. This is one of the BEST owner manuals I have ever seen. Easy to understand and it explains everything. I am supposed to be getting a free cover just for leaving a review. Who could ask for anything more?

I bought this item in preparation for the 2020 hurricane season. I researched various brands and models and was pleased to find this model which has enough kick to power my house air conditioner, as well as the rest of my needs. In addition, it runs on either LP or gasoline, which provides much more flexibility as fuels become scarce. Although delivery was delayed from the original scheduled date by one week, it arrived in excellent condition and with minor prep, started up easily. I'm confident this will serve our needs while hopeful I don't have to try...

Our power went out for 5 days, prompting me to buy a generator. The day it was delivered our power went out again for a few hours while they repaired lines patched from the previous storm. I got to start the break in period running a window unit, TV, a few fans and lights. It worked great!

We just got this generator. It was easy to put together. On its first test it powered 2 refrigerators and a stand up deep freeze without any problem. We fully expect this to be great when needed. This review is given to qualify us for the bonus item of a generator cover.
