I bought this a couple months ago, and I have been impressed so far with how well it seems to be made. Once I finally figured out all the switches to turn on and to connect the battery, it cranked up with a charm. I was also able to convert it over to natural gas by buying another regulator. Happy so far with the purchase.

Westinghouse was recommended by my brother-In-Law. I have never owned a portable generator, but borrowed one because of living in hurricane alley. It was not a Westinghouse, and I did not care for the pull start. Because of the start of hurricane season, I figured it was time to own my own and we purchased the Westinghouse duel fuel electric start. After adding the supplied oil, connecting the battery and checking all the instructions, I hooked it up to the remains of a propane tank. Using the handy dandy Push Start button, that baby fired right up! Shut it down to double check oil, it was spot on. I tried again with the remote, and like a champ, it fired up! I hooked up a shop fan just to load it up a bit and it delivered!. So pleased with the purchase. I'll will have an electrician hook up my house, and be ready, if needed, for the next power outage.

Just bought to run for backup power for the house. installed the interlock system and we are using the 50 amp connection. just tested the generator and not a flicker in the house seems to run great. not sure how it will work with the ac on but it does the job great so far. very happy

I bought this as a backup generator for hurricane prep. It appears to be a high quality product, and comes with all required items to get it running. After some minor assembly and prep, it started right up. I particularly like the dual fuel option, electric start, and the variety of different power connection options. Very nice product!

Great machine! Highly recommended by my electrician. Ive had it for 2 months, ran break-in period, testing periog with electrician, and subsequent test after 1month. It starts and runs well with full load at temps below -5 degrees C. Charges battery when not inuse. Runs on gas and propane. Controls are straightforward and easy to operate. Easy to move around and position. I live in rural Quebec with cold winters and power outages, and I am very happy with this generator.

After losing power twice this year we decided on WGen 9500 to power our house in an emergency. Set up was simple. Delivery was to our garage. Everything was in the box (although the remote was a little hard to see). Will let you know more if we have a chance to use it.

I bought this generator a month ago. I have started it using natural gas and regular gasoline and it started right up each time. Assembling the required parts was easy however the unit is heavy so it takes some effort if you're doing it alone. Reading the directions prior to starting the unit the first time is a must to ensure the proper sequence is followed. I have placed it under a small load so far and it handled the load effortlessly and it is relatively quiet. Over all I am pleased with the product.

This westinghouse generator is by far the best generator I have owned. It was very easy to unbox and put together and when everything was hooked up, I used the key fob to start the generator and it started right up. This key fob is the best invention for a generator. I bought this generator for the push start feature because I was tired of using the pull crank. The key fob is a huge bonus. i would highly recommend the Westinghouse WGEN 9500DF to everyone looking for a whole house portable generator with ease of use. Mark

Setup was very easy. Instructions were very clear. After putting oil and gas in the engine and hooking up the battery, I pushed the starter switch. It turned over a few times and started right up. Amazing. It actually starts itself. I told my wife, "this is so easy that even she could do it." Just turn on the fuel valve, set the switch to "run" and hit the start button. Nothing! What happened. She gave me that smile that all men hate. Like yeah. I went through the sequence again. I had to miss something. Yes I did. The start button take a little bit of a push. You can't just tap it like I did. So, when I pressed it harder, it started right up. The machine didn't let me down, my fingers did.

The generator works good. I am able to run my home's old central 3-ton AC, and more. I had an electrician put a 50 amp inlet to my breaker box. The only issue is that I need to use starter fluid (spray can) to get the engine to start when cold. I use the remote electric start and spray some fluid into the air filter when the engine starts turning over, and it starts. When warmed up it starts on its own. I like the fact that it comes with a battery charger. Every couple of months of storage you should charge the battery for 8 hours. I like the remote start. If I want, I can start and stop the generator from inside my house.
