I just purchased the WGen9500DF and it is hands down the best! It has more features than you'll ever need. After simple assembly of the wheel kit and adding the encluded oil. I added gasoline, hooked up the propane tank and pushed the remote start button and it started right up. The noise level is very acceptable, comparable to a lawnmower. It is by far (even generators costing twice as much) a TOP OF THE LINE PRODUCT! Backed by a 3 year Warranty, what more could you possibly want.

We live in Maine and so happy to have purchased this during the winter storms! The remote start is a luxury that I wish we had upgraded to a long time ago! It appears durable and I love the versatility of being able to use both gas and propane. It appears to be solidly built and I am hopeful it will be durable enough to hold up for many more years!

The WGen9500 is easy to set up and easy to use. I purchased this for the rolling power outages in California. When I am not at home my wife can start the generator from a push button key fob. This unit provides excellent power and flexibility and at a very good price. A+.

I did a lot of online research before ordering this generator. After receiving it, I can see why it's top rated! You get a lot of bells-n-whistles for the money - both gasoline (I use ethanol free) or propane powered, battery starting using key fob, trickle charger for battery included, 30 and 50A twist locks for power out (I am using for a whole house generator), wheel and handle kit included, multi-display meter on panel for monitoring voltage output, hours, etc. My electrician hooked it up and it powered the house like a champ. For me, this unit has everything I was looking for and more!

Initial fire up of generator, frequency is 62.9. I called support and they requested I put a load on it. With 2 heat elements at maybe 2.5amps, it dropped to 61.7 Hz. I was told this was all good and normal. Fast forward to today, with my first trial run after all electrical was finished to feed my home. I started with my garage which has a 240v pool pump and air compressor. The pool pump and all 120 devices ran just fine. When the air compressor came on, lights began flickering badly and the generator shut off. This was done again when I had someone able to turn the air compressor on while I was at the generator to observe the operations. I observed the frequency was dropping to 55-56 Hz and voltage was also dropping. This is happening due to the idle circuitry of the generator failing is my thought. I called support and was advised to contact my seller to return the unit for being defective. If I’m not able to return it, I can take it somewhere of pay to have someone come to my home. This is very poor support for a brand new product.

I have owned this Generator for over a year. Does not start when temperatures are too cold Had some type of surge (I have a surge "Suppressor") and using a 10 gauge extension cord but still had something go wrong with power output. Generator runs good but no power output.

I bought the WGen9500DF earlier this week and it got delivered right on time. I unboxed it and set it up this weekend. This is my first generator, however, I have assembled numerous pieces of equipment. This was pretty straight forward. I did have to add additional 10W30 oil than what was supplied to get the oil to register correctly on the dipstick. I connected in the battery charger while I read the instructions thoroughly. Once I was ready, I connected a 20 lb. propane tank and the system fired up on the first start button push! I ran it for 30 mins with no load. Voltage looked good and held steady at 240V. The Hertz ran a little high (>62) at times though I expect this to change once it is under load. Happy so far and now prepared for the first winter storm, if needed.

I am reviewing this after 1 day. Easily put together and get ready. Worked great. Honestly, I do feel like Westinghouse cares that you ge the product started right. They included all the tools you need and all the oil you needed for this unit to be operational. Just supply the fuel. At the end of the day, it ran great. Easy to hse

I bought this as an emergency back up for the rolling black/brownouts suggested to be repeated this summer and beyond. I was afraid of the weigh but I find it very maneuverable for a 74 year old. It’s easy to start and easy to keep fueled (I prefer the propane option). The WGen 9500 will easily handle my refrigeration, pool and HVAC needs during an emergency. I hope I never need to use it, but I am glad to have it

I bought this product about three weeks ago and assembly was quick and easy. I really like the idea that it runs on gas or propane. It started on the first try. I haven't tested it yet on my house loads as I am waiting on the arrival of additional equipment to use with this. Will update when the other equipment arrives.
