I bought Jun 19, 2020 and it was delivered Jul 07, 2020. Easy to assemble, but does not start nor run on gas, does great on propane. Drained gas and refilled just to make sure, but still no start nor run on gas. All switches/connections verified.

This generator is a life saver, specifically in the heat of the summer. We had some nasty storms that took down some trees and left us without power. We use another brand generator and it only lasted for a day. This generator is a powerhouse. The electric start feature is a lifesaver as well as the dual fuel capabilities. You’ll never find yourself running out of gas when you have a spare propane tank to run it putting it together And having it up and running was even simpler I know this generator is going to last for a long time and I can’t wait to use it more often

Our rural Nebraska town shut down our 100 year old power plant and started buying power from a 17 state consortium. Electrical power has been unreliable since, subject to weather, storms, and rolling blackouts. So I bought this generator and had an electrician wire it up through a transfer switch. It powers my entire house during a blackout and turns on by pressing a button on s fob. My house is only 500 sq ft, so this solution is perfect for me. It’s quality construction and works reliably. I’m very pleased.

I just bought this generator and had the electrician who installed my transfer switch demonstrate how to use it. He was impressed on how easy it was to assemble and start. I haven't needed to use it yet but grateful that I have it in the event of a blackout.

You don't want to have to need this, but when we needed it, it came through like a champ! The arrival of Hurricane Ian knocked out the power within hours, and we were stuck without power, which means the electric pump to the well wasn't working, so no water, and no Internet. This was the first time we ever had to use the generator, and once connected to the house, filling the oil and propane gave us the ability to shower, and make a proper cup of tea.

I bought this generator 6 weeks ago and it was very easy to put together. It is very easy to operate and very self-explanatory. I have used it twice already and it runs like a dream!! No more worrying if my generator is going to start. Highly recommended!!

After losing power to our home a number of times over the past year or two, we decided we needed a backup power source. We looked for a generator that would have enough power to run our whole house, that was dual fuel (so we can run it off our LP tank if we wanted to), was reliable, that I could manage installing myself, and that didn't cost a fortune. The Westinghouse WGen9500DF ticked all those boxes. I've been able to successfully power our whole house (including A/C!). I have yet to connect to our LP tank (that's a project for another day), but I'm glad I have that option. I will note that the unit is quite loud (thus the 4 stars vs. 5). But, I suppose this is to be expected for this size of generator. And, when the utility power goes out and I'm able to still power my entire house off of this generator, I don't think I'm going to mind the noise.

I just recieved our new WGEN9500DFc. I did everything according to the instructs for set up. I put gas in and tried to crank it. Motor turned over but would not crank. I connected propane and it cranked right up. I had my 30yr handy man with me. We checked all procedures. Unit seemed fine on propane. NOTHING on gas. I called the customer service number. They said it could take a while for a tech response. Like how long? 21 DAYS , WHAT ???!!!! I think I like the unit, but I got dual fuel because that's what I wanted. I expect it to work and not have to wait 21 DAYS!!! I hope they call me soon. I will rate it at another time.

I just purchased this. Shipping was super fast and it arrived ahead of schedule. It unpacked and assembled very easily. The battery was fully charged and the units started right up and runs smoothly. Can't really give it 5 starts yet because I have not tested it under a full load. What I can report is that it runs very smoothly and is quieter than my last Gen. It is also quite easy to move around as well.

We live in New England with sever winters and routine power outages. We had a freeze up last year costing us thousands to repair. Purchased this generator with the smart start as a replacement to hook up to our heating system. Also the lpg capability is a plus for sure starts eliminating no starts due to bad gas and frozen gas lines.
