I bought this generator only couple of weeks ago after extended search and checking, reading many reviews . Wgen9500DF always come out on the top or close to it. Unpacking and assembly was a snap. Oil included and the battery was charged. Electric start at first time did required the setting of the choke (The Quick Start Guide didn't ask for it) but then started right away. Load testing at ~2kW went fine, the engine idled and rev up nicely as the load came on line and cycled. Since the generator just a fairly expensive insurance policy against outages the real value of it I'll learn later, preferably much later. Until that I cannot judge reliability or peak-load performance. The generator has a good array of outlets and safety features. I like the digital display however a watts readout function would be useful. I'm not sure the real life value of a remote starter since you have to turn on the fuel valve somehow, but nice to have one. Overall I'm very satisfied for now and hope it will stay that way.

Box was damaged when it was received, but the delivery guys and I saw no damage to the product. Was easy to assemble and I tested the pull start, electric and remote start. They all worked great. The unit had a wire that was broken (I think the low oil sensor). They are working to help me with it so I have no real problem with the generator.

I just got the generator. It was solidly packaged and looks great. Assembly and initial setup was easy and flawless. I hope to use this generator for years to come without any problems. I’m planning to use this generator with interlock switch to power the whole house when the power is out. Very happy with the purchase.

I bought this a couple of weeks ago, and am glad I did. the mighty wgen9500dl runs on gas or propane, so having more than one option is so convenient. has an intuitive control panel which is so easy to read and understand. the never-flat wheels make it nicely portable. having this generator brings me peace of mind knowing that my major and minor appliances will continue to run should the need arise. Westinghouse has been around forever it seems, my parents and grandparents grew up with Westinghouse appliances in their homes, so its a name you can trust.

I have not owned this generator for very long, but it seems to run the way it is supposed to. It starts fine and runs on both gas and propane. I have not use the 220 V but I did check it with a voltmeter. The box initially had a dent in the side of it but not a single scratch on the generator.

Bought last month but haven't had to use it yet during a power outage. Very easy to get set up(helps to have a strong grandson). Started on my 1st attempt, runs smoothly and relatively quiet. Oil fill could be a bit more convenient. Nothing missing and can be moved about relatively easy, even for an 80 yr old man. Very happy so far but willing to wait for the power failure to put it to the ultimate test. My electrician was impressed.

I did alot of research before buying this and am very pleased. I wanted something dual fuel that would last me a lifetime and this thing is over built. Very high quality and heavy duty. I'm confident this will power whatever I throw it for as long as I need it to. Highly recommend.

I bought this to supplement my home electricity for my wife. She has a medical condition that requires her to have A/C at all times. This model is perfect for someone who has never done this before. It has many features that make it simple. I am so happy to have this electricity backup.

Product arrived in good condition, followed set up instructions. Was nice that oil and funnel were included plus a wrench and spark plug tool. added gas and started right up. the remote worked from inside the house. The next week our power went out and showed the wife how to hook everything up to electric panel, have a 30 amp breaker lockout device installed. Turned on the generator and it ran everything in the house. Very satisfied.

Picked up the 9500 and breaking it in as we speak. A couple wires were disconnected and our remote start wasn’t working. The manual didn’t mention that these wires were not plugged in to each other and after diagnosing the issue, she started right up! So, if you are having issues starting your brand new generator, follow the wires from the battery to make sure they are plugged in! Great quality machine so far! We hope to get many years out of it!
