I decided a great way to test the strength was by using this packing tape on a box with a torn surface and filling it with something with some weight to it. I filled it with twenty-16.9 oz water bottles and my niece gave it shake test. It held up great! I will be purchasing for packing the next time I move and would highly recommend this product!

Usually you get tape that is hard to tare or tares too easily. But this was great. I highly recommend this for all your packaging needs.

I packed a box to ship and then used this 3M Scotch Box Lock Shipping Tape to tape it all up as the box was traveling 800 miles. As I taped it up, it was so quiet to use that I dreamed about my days of yesteryear of liking to play quiet tennis. It’s like regular tennis but no one raises a racquet. Box made it to destination safely and the receiver said the tape held up 100% and wasn't peeling off the box at all! Thanks, 3M for another decent, worth-while product!

It splits pretty easily so starting the roll was somewhat annoying, but once it got started it dispensed easily and quietly. Stickiness doesn't seem to be the "extreme grip" advertised because I am able to peel it back off, but after some rubbing it seems sticky enough to keep a package closed. I received this product free from 3M to review.

This tape is a one strip and done deal which there alone makes it cost effective. No more need to use three or four strips to ensure your box is secure! So easy to use just like their other tape but strong for the tough jobs!

I used it this weekend to tape streamers to our wooden deck for my daughter's birthday party. I loved that it was a clear tape so no one could see it. It worked like a charm, and it didn't come off until I removed it this morning (in the rain). The Scotch Box Lock Shipping Tape works great for sealing packages and a whole lot more! [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I like the extra grip makes it easier to tape and cut off, no waste of time to looking for my scissors to cut off the tape. And the tape is very sturdy, just 1 layer is sturdy enough. I used have to tape 2 or 3 layers with my old tape to seal a box.

This tape will stick to any kind of box, and just one piece is needed. The tape is easy to dispense, and unwinds smoothly with none of that loud squeaking sound like some tape dispensers can make. I also like how the tape is guaranteed to stay in place. There is also a hanger at the top of the dispenser so you hang it up after using. The side grips also make holding the dispenser easy.
