An excellent design and so, so quiet. I got the 8000 btu WhisperTech model. It looks so nice in my studio and I was surprised at how powerful it was. I love automating it to turn on an hour before I get home from work to walk in to a perfectly cool home.

The app automations just don't work at all about 1% of the time. It works great until it just... totally ignores the rules that were set. Just now I encountered a new problem, the app wouldn't communicate with the unit at all. I tried to manually set it to fan mode because the automation didn't work, and the app insisted it changed to fan mode, but the ac unit itself was still in cool mode. The ac itself works fine but I'm very angry about the spaghetti code app.

The Windmill AC unit is simply put, the best AC unit I’ve ever owned. Easy to install, fits in most all windows, the app just makes life that much easier. It’s quite, sleek, and cools better then any unit I’ve previously owned. I would strongly recommend this to all who are looking for window units. I’ve already purchased a second unit for my Sons room. Customer service in stellar, friendly, kind, and super knowledgeable. JUST THE BEST ! What a wonderful air conditioner. Our first one had issues and Windmill promptly sent out our replacement which works great. It’s quiet and no glaring display while sleeping. Great customer service, thank you to the folks at Windmill for your time and assistance. You are very much appreciated.

I used a Portable AC for over 15 years and I wanted to purchase a new window AC, so I decided on a Windmill Air AC and installed into my vinyl window and installation was as simple as it could be. I appreciate the phone App as it will tell you how much energy you are using in real time (updated every 10 seconds). My portable AC was using about 1145 watts on the highest level and the Windmill Air is using about 547 watts average on the highest level. My windmill Air takes up less space and works much better than my portable AC. I am quite satisfied with my Windmill Air purchase.

Though I was thoroughly pleased with my windmill AC unfortunately I had a situation and the unit wasn't operating correctly. Frankly, I was concerned that the only way to communicate with customer service was through email, but my concerns were eased when they responded quickly. After working with me to try to correct the problem they decided that the unit should be replaced and had a replacement shipped within 2 business days. Their customer service team is superior to any other company I have ever had to deal with! I am now, again, enjoying the comfort my ac provides.

We love the ability to control the unit from the app on our phones (particularly when we're not home for the cats) and that the air vents up from the machine (not from the front, which is essential since the AC is next to my WFH desk and I don't need an air machine all up in my hair when on Zoom calls). The clean/modern aesthetic is also a plus.

We purchased this window-air conditioning unit to supplement our central air conditioning that can't really compete with our sun-soaked main bedroom. It has been great! I cools off the room quickly at night and enables us to get a nice long sleep without being waken up by our baking room. It can be controlled by either a phone app or the remote control - which has been handy. The installation process was quick (probably less than 30 minutes) with two people and the air conditioner had really easy to understand instructions and included everything you need to install (except a drill, if you're going to drill holes to secure the air conditioner).

I loved my Windmill AC, but not long after I bought it, the ground to the plug broke, rendering the unit unusable. After contacting customer service, I was delighted when they assured me that they would send me a new AC, and it arrived in less than a week. Not only is the product fantastic (quiet, and perfectly chilling), but customer service is fantastic. Wholeheartedly recommend!

We’ve had our Windmill AC for 2-3 weeks and so far we are very happy with the purchase. Windmill does live up to its reputation for the sleek design and is very quiet. Installation was easy but we couldn’t fasten the side panels into our window frames because we have metal window frames (this happens with all ACs we purchased before so not a Windmill specific problem).
