Instructions aren’t incredibly clear. They do not show the foam pieces when you are trying to install the side panels. The foam prevents the panels from fully covering the sides. The bottom piece where you screw in the bottom portion of the panel into your window sill should also be much longer. Ours was incredibly close to the edge of the window and the screw almost didn’t make it in. The AC unit looks nice and modern, and having an app to control it is very convenient. I don’t think it is as silent as advertised. It kind of sounds like any other AC unit.

A good product with even better customer service! I love that it's a smart unit so I can integrate it with my smart home scheduling. I think there are some internal engineering design flaws that need to be worked out. But when something failed, they stepped up and replaced the unit for free after a lengthy troubleshooting process to try and fix it first. But I will implement the fix on the unit before I even plug it in and hopefully we won't have any more problems. It is a clean look for the installation. Way better than every other window unit out there. My daughter loves the look. PS. It comes with a pair of scissors to cut the weather stripping too!

We ordered three Windmill window units for our new NYC apartment (living room, master bedroom, kid's room) and we are so happy! Our super installed them so can't speak first hand to ease of installation but it didn't take him too long to do all three. The product looks sleek and way nicer than the (traditional, old, uggo) units we had removed. We love the app functionality and the ability to share control among household members.

As I have entered my senior years ease of installation means a lot. Installation was so easy my wife and i did it and in less than a half hour were sitting in our recliners enjoying the AC. We were stunned to find scissors in the package to adjust the insulation. (Who does that) Best AC unit i ever bought. Would and will buy another unit.

Works like it should in a medium sized room. Pretty easy to install as far as AC window units go and looks good. Only reason this isn't a 5 star review is that the initial one received didn't blow cold air, it was like only the fan was on no matter what mode you were in. Customer service was great and sent out a replacement quickly.

It’s rare to come across a small business, and most times businesses in general, whose customer service is top tier in efficiency. That’s not the case with Windmill. They’ve always been quick to answer any questions I’ve had and helped me through my purchasing. Buying their AC has been one of the best investments I’ve made for the year of 2024! I’m looking forward to buying their Air Filter and excited to see what other products they’ll produce in the near future. Their service is just as great as their products!

Got my Windmill AC the other day, but had to wait for my 20 and 24 year old nephews to install it. I'm disabled. They did a great job working together and got it into my window fast. Turned it on and it cooled off my hot and humid living room within a couple of minutes. It looks so nice.

This is the most beautiful, modern A/C unit I've ever owned. I was ambivalent initially, but the aesthetics and functionality of the Windmill matched with its stellar reviews won me over. I live alone in a NYC studio apartment in a four story walkup. Having an adequate, quiet air conditioner during the warmer months is not a luxury, but a necessity, especially when the humidity is unrelenting. I love how gorgeous this looks in my window and how it blends with the rest of my minimalist design. Whomever designed this product deserves props for creativity, thinking outside of the box, and delivering something to the consumer with discerning taste and needs. Yes, it is a bit more than your average A/C unit, but imagine not having to contend with additional noise, repairs or a monstrosity hanging in your window. The Windmill is a good investment. I have issues with my spine stemming from multiple surgeries and thus hired someone whom professionally installed it for me, which was an expedient process. Treat yourself to this sublime AC. You will not return to anything else.

Look, it works well, it’s aesthetically pleasing, but I find it hard to believe their marketing materials that claim it’s been re-engineered from the ground up. At least at the highest fan setting (and lowest temperature) it is as loud as any other window unit its size, at about 63-67 decibels depending on the app. Which makes it really overpriced. The only reason I’m not returning it is the logistical pain that would probably involve.

Absolutely love the large 10,000 BTU Windmill. Quick setup, easy to install, sleek modern design, and feels like central air and a cool breeze on the first floor of our home. Best decision we ever made to upgrade from an old air conditioner that just blew air into one room. The upward motion of the fan cools 2-3 rooms for us!
