I want to start this review by giving you all a little history: I have had acne prone, oily, red, uneven skin ever since I was in middle school. I'm an attempt to feel more confident in myself, I have not left the house without a full face of makeup since I was 14 (I'm 22 now) but with this product, I went foundation free for the first time. I started using this product about two months ago, every night after I wash my face. It is lightweight and does not feel oily or sticky on the skin. My only complaint would be that the product itself is a little runny when I personally prefer more cream based products, but as a serum it is the expected consistency. And OMG has my skin changed. My skin is brighter, more even, and looks and feels so much healthier. If I could give one million starts I would. I am finally starting to feel confident in my own skin thanks to this product.

I have used the many Cerave products for over 15 years and my skin is quite decent for my age. This product is a great addition to the line. Ignore the "alcohol" whining reviews - you don't see it, feel it, or smell it in this serum. It takes very little - so a tube lasts quite a while. I use it morning and night - under my other Cerave products or foundation. I have seen a real and visible difference in my skin for the good - I'm hooked. Worth the money!

I have used this product for about 3 weeks. I can see a noticeable change in my skin. I use this daily under a sunscreen. I love it!! However I noticed that the serum is yellow now. I've used a C serum before from timeless and understand that once it's yellow the effectiveness is no longer there? Other than the color change in the tube, I've enjoyed using this product, but don't want to buy again if the tube isn't going to last me long enough to finish it before oxidation. Feedback please.

The reviews going on and on about the denatured alcohol are from people who know noting about product formulation and Vitamin C stability. It is NOT the same as rubbing denatured alcohol all over you face! As a Doctor, I understand the value of stable Vitamin C skincare and love this new product from Cerave! The product is outstanding straight out of the tube but I do wonder how long the potency of the Vitamin C will last. I wonder if they have done clinical studies of this.

I wanted to love this, but I don't. I bought it yesterday and applied it this morning. I followed all of the directions. I researched a lot online about how vitamin C was an excellent addition to any skincare routine, and saw a video about this one specifically, but as you can see from the photos it left me with very orange/dirty looking strikes on my face. I applied it this morning (12h ago) after washing my face with a Lancôme lait galatee comfort, then used cetaphil gentle skin cleanser, this vitamin C and then The Ordinary 30SPF. So my skin was clean before I put it on. I think it only oxidized maybe in the areas where I probably didn't put a thick layer of sunscreen (I made sure to evenly apply it on the center of my face).. the photos don't do it Justice it was very orange. I wish I would've taken a pic of the paper towel I used to dry my face after washing it.

Me molesta que las instrucciones de uso sean incompletas y que no vengan especificadas como en otros productos de vitamina c que he comprado de otras marcas… este no menciona si se puede usar en la mañana y noche… y tampoco los cuidados que se deben tener al aplicarla ni la forma de aplicarse …

I'm now in my 40s and my neck was starting to get that crepey skin. I was going to buy the really expensive serums, but checked out CeraVe's lineup first and found a product at 1/5 the price! I've never had a bad experience with CeraVe, so I gave it a try. I'm very happy with it. Too many reviewers are just reading the ingredient list and giving this a bad review without even trying it. Denatured is mostly ethanol. I bet the other reviewers have at least an occasional drink. Even fruit on the counter has some ethanol in it. It does not feel like an alcohol-based toner, it feels like a very light gel moisturizer. If you wear make-up, this is an excellent primer too. I use the vitamin A PM serum in the evening and this in the morning. I follow with make-up and/or sunscreen. I had a bit of sunburn on my upper chest from forgetting sunscreen one day and put this on and it seems healing too. I never write reviews, but I don't want people who have never used this product ruin it for me.

I can't get over how amazing this product is. My drab, tired dull skin is now vibrant, soft and looks 10 years younger. Please don't change I thing! I've been singing praises of this product and smile at the mirror every day because this turned it all around. I love all the products I have tried, but this is by far my fave. That beautiful skin I missed is back. Love love love.

I have been using this serum for about a year now. I had purchased extremely expensive serums at Sephora and Ulta, and when money was a little tight, I needed to find an alternative that wasn't as expensive. I am SO glad I did because this serum has replaced all my other skin care products. I apply a light layer in the morning with CeraVe sunscreen on top, and I apply a very heavy layer at night. I find that a thick layer works well as a moisturizer for me at bedtime. I have noticed that my fine lines have minimized, my post-acne hyperpigmentation has calmed down, and it's one of few products that does not make me break out. I have tried almost every product in CeraVe's lines, and this is by far my favorite. I will continue to purchase this in the future!

I haven't been able to use the entire tube due to the top is beginning to oxidize. I have had it close to two weeks and I haven't noticed a difference in my skin. I can say I have noticed small additional breakouts but I don't believe it's related to this product. I won't continue to use it due to the substance that's turning brown and my skin is too sensitive to take the risk.
