Am trying to get use to suction mount! Nice features! Would like good operating video! Have found some online! Some issues with transferring favorites from older Garmin and would like a USB C connector! Good so far! Would like to have the Female Australian voice back! Airplane symbol options/Biplane especially! Thanks

I recently bought the DriveCam 76 because of the screen size (7 inches) to replace my current DriveAssist 51. It is a very nice unit with plenty of features, not that much different than the DriveAssist 51. However, I am a bit disappointed, because the DriveCam 76 screen has frozen a few times which makes it not usable for navigation. I unplugged the unit and left it unplugged for awhile and plugged it back in and it restarted. Having the unit freeze on you when you need it, will not be ideal if you are in an unfamiliar area. I have notified Garmin about this issue. Overall, I like the unit and will recommend it, hopefully Garmin will clean up the bugs since it is a brand new unit in their line up.

Received this DriveCam 76 today, 5/27/2024. Brand new, not refurbished the camera does not work because the BRAND NEW memory card that came with the camera is worn out and needs to be replaced. It’s going back tomorrow if I can’t get it going tomorrow morning,

This is my fourth or fifth Garmin and because of view obstruction in my vehicle, I have always used a friction mount. It makes it easy to adjust and remove completely on the run from my vehicle. I purchased the 76 to upgrade from my drive assist 51 which has a dash cam and works just fine not stuck to the windshield. On the 76 I keep purchasing devices like friction mounts and even vent/cup mounts (giving up on the dash cam part) and NOTHING is deep enough to fit and hold the device. It’s just not necessary to force a windshield mount and I’m not happy considering how much the 76 cost. I like the other features but overall, I’m not satisfied.

The GPS is good, as all my Garmin GPS units have been. But the camera lens is mounted in the center of the unit, making it unsuitable for use with a dash mount. Garmin knows this; if you look at their website, the Drivesmart 76 without the camera shows a dash mount as an available accessory. But with the camera, a dash mount no longer shows as an accessory. My old GPS, a Garmin Nuvicam, has the lens way off to the side, making it suitable for use with a windshield mount or a dash mount. Garmin, what were you thinking?

Great unit! screen is larger so easier to read and mount seems better then the smaller units. still getting used to the differences between the new one and my Dashcam 51 I have used for several years. the newer features are nice. I did not connect to my phone because my phone connects better with my F250 with apple play to make calls. I use several gps applications at same time as some differ and give different information and therefore provides different route options at times.

I bought this because I really like my Garmin Drive Assist 50 which died several months ago. This has the same functions such as dash cam with lane departure warning and forward collision warning. The only problem was the windshield mount with a short arm. Had to replace the mount so we could remove the Garmin when we leave the car

Bought about a month ago to replace an older Garmin. Lots of good features like lane assist, collision avoidance. Navigates well but disappointed that two features from my older Garmin Nuvi 1350 can do were removed from the Drivecan 76. First, feature to avoid Toll Roads doesn't seem to be an option. I was in DC area and trying to avoid the Tolls as I didn't have an EZ-Pass and many toll booths are unmanned. Second feature that appears to be missing is Miles Remaining. We were doing cross country driving and its always helpful to know how many miles remain and not just simply arrival time. Tried to find options for both but don't seem to be in the documentation. Online documentation also lacking here.

I bought the Drivecam 76 for a trip out of the country, and I went to load the new Maps, and after an hour of fighting with the thing, I gave up. The Drivecam 76 connects to the Internet, but you can’t download from the Internet into it. You have to download it on a computer and then put it on some kind of a chip and then put it in the unit you need to be an IT engineer to figure this out. It’s so 1980’s and then the Garmin Smart Link app says it’s incompatible with whatever blah blah blah. So my one star rating is based on my pathetic experience.

Very happy with unit easy to use what I really love about it and I was very surprised by it. It notify me speed cameras ahead. Now thats priceless especially in Savannah Georgia who new. Love it so many nice options. Smile your on camera, very nice.
