We recently moved and the washer and dryer that came with our new home was not Samsung... So, of course, I had to replace them! My washer is slightly bigger than my previous Samsung Washer we had before moving. As a mom and dog mom, I find myself doing laundry at least once a day. I am always washing towels and blankets and clothes in between! Connecting the washer and dryer to the SmartThings App was incredibly quick and easy! My favorite features of the Samsung dryer, I am excited about the Steam Sanitize+ option. This option is said to kills 99.9% of germs and bacteria, 95% of pollen, and all dust mites. There are also a variety of drying options!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Samsung continues to amaze me with all their new technology. I have the new 7.4 cubic foot smart electric dryer with pet care. It has a steam sanitizer and of course, it connects to the smart things app which is fantastic because I can start and stop my Cycles with a touch of a button. This has 12 preset dry cycles, and nine downloadable dry cycles, the dryer door can be made reversible to accommodate your laundry room, it has five temperature settings and five drying levels. I love the team sanitizer feature, this helps to eliminate up to 99.9% of germs and bacteria on clothing. The sensor dry optimizes the time and temperature to keep your clothes from being damaged by heat. The vent sensor and lint filter indicate when your dryer is operating safely and efficiently. Everything that Samsung touches right now absolutely amazes me, they keep raising the bar every time they come up with a new product.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This dryer works, it dries laundry. My biggest gripe with it involves the preset options. You can't change the heat level on the presets. Almost all of them are set to 4/5 or 5/5 on heat. So, if I want to use a lower heat setting, I can only use the Time Dry which only has 5 time options. Changing the side of the door latch takes some time too. I like the Smart Things compatibility, saves time without having to go the actual machine. It's a good product overall, I just can't understand the prevention of changing the heat setting on the presets.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is an awesome dryer for anyone who enjoys smart home devices and Samsung products.  As a dryer, it preforms perfect like you would expect from a Samsung appliance.  I have dried numerous loads of laundry by now and have had no issues getting clothes of all types clean and dry.  There are many different presets for different types of clothes or other laundry items.  The best part however, is the addition of the smart features.  It was extremely simple to connect to the Samsung Smart Things app. Once connected it can be easily controlled from the app.  You can set the exact settings you want and send them to the dryer.  The best part is being able to see how much time is remaining and getting notifications when complete.  The only downside is that you have to remember to turn the dryer on and enable smart control each time you use it.  As long as you remember to do this when putting the clothes in however, it isn't much of a problem.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love this dryer! It arrived at the perfect time as I had a bunch of laundry I needed to do including my bedding and 3 blankets for the dogs. I did 3 loads of laundry - 1 for my bedding, 1 for the dogs bedding and 1 for clothes. This would usually take me AT LEAST 5 separate loads but this dryer had so much extra space. Not only that but despite drying several thick items it was able to dry faster and in one run. I'm used to drying them separately and multiple times! I've used about 2 of the 21 dry cycles, and I also downloaded the Eco Normal cycle onto it. Speaking of the app - setting it up was a complete breeze. I've used SmartThings extensively before but this was by far the easiest. After installing and running a test load I was prompted on my phone to connect to the dryer. The best part is I was all the way up stairs and it still connected. When I went downstairs to check on it I was able to easily scan the QR code to finish the setup. I wasn't entirely sure how I felt about the wifi feature but after spending the day using it I love being able to check on the status or get the remaining time. This is even more true because the dryer is just *so* quiet that I can't tell if it's running from anywhere else in the house. Now I just get a notification on my phone that it's done and I know to go down there. While we're on the topic of the app, there was only one downside that I have found with the dryer and the app so far - I would love to be able to create my own custom preset that I could download to the dryer. For example I typically dry my clothes on "Normal" but with low temperature. The dryer by default uses hot temperature. which isn't a big deal to change. However if I could just create a new preset on the app and download it to the dryer that would be absolutely amazing and I do feel like this is a missed opportunity. For the time being though I have used the "Time Dry" option with a lower temperature and just set the time I'd like it to run for. However there is just so much to love here. The huge capacity and nearly silent operation are almost mind blowing. I also love that as I'm changing settings on the control panel that it shows me exactly how long it will be running for. Attached is a not-so-great photo of my current setup. I have a shelf above the units that will either need to be raised or re-located as these are slightly taller than my old ones. So for the time being they're sticking out further than necessary in order to use.

An app to notify my "tenant" that their clothes are dry so they aren't sitting in there getting wrinkled or holding up the process. Holds a ton of clothes and dries pretty evenly. Still learning all of the settings. Happy!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Again this is our first time owning electric dryer, I was little skeptical that it might not be effectient like the gas dryer, but I am amazed at how quickly the clothes were dried.. I am actually shocked that an extra large load took much less time to dry than my gas dryer would have taken.. Similar to the washer, I connected the dryer to my Smartthings setup.. and I can monitor the cycle, start the dryer, and get notification when the dryer is done. Thumbps up!!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Samsung 7.4 cu ft Smart Electric Dryer with Steam Sanitize+ is a descent dryer. The size makes a huge differences with large items like duvets, corvers, etc... The dryer is fairly quiet and does the job for a dryer. However, it is not perfect unfortunately. Even if you have sensor dry, sometimes the items in the dryer are still damp and need to go for a second round to make sure the clothes are dry. Another thing, which would be beneficial is to have the dryer settings to be flexible. It would be nicer to have the full capability to change settings even if you select a pre-set setting. For example, the normal settings doesn't allow you to select the highest temperature... Just one below. Why not? So, you need to select another setting for it. Besides that, it's been 10 months now since we had our dryer and doesn't show any issues. So, I do hope it stays that way... ;)
