Great dryer with smart features
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is an awesome dryer for anyone who enjoys smart home devices and Samsung products. As a dryer, it preforms perfect like you would expect from a Samsung appliance. I have dried numerous loads of laundry by now and have had no issues getting clothes of all types clean and dry. There are many different presets for different types of clothes or other laundry items. The best part however, is the addition of the smart features. It was extremely simple to connect to the Samsung Smart Things app. Once connected it can be easily controlled from the app. You can set the exact settings you want and send them to the dryer. The best part is being able to see how much time is remaining and getting notifications when complete. The only downside is that you have to remember to turn the dryer on and enable smart control each time you use it. As long as you remember to do this when putting the clothes in however, it isn't much of a problem.
Good large dryer almost great.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Samsung 7.4 cu ft Smart Electric Dryer with Steam Sanitize+ is a descent dryer. The size makes a huge differences with large items like duvets, corvers, etc... The dryer is fairly quiet and does the job for a dryer. However, it is not perfect unfortunately. Even if you have sensor dry, sometimes the items in the dryer are still damp and need to go for a second round to make sure the clothes are dry. Another thing, which would be beneficial is to have the dryer settings to be flexible. It would be nicer to have the full capability to change settings even if you select a pre-set setting. For example, the normal settings doesn't allow you to select the highest temperature... Just one below. Why not? So, you need to select another setting for it. Besides that, it's been 10 months now since we had our dryer and doesn't show any issues. So, I do hope it stays that way... ;)
Dryer doesn't fully dry clothes
This dryer has poor sensors and functioning and does not dry clothes well. No matter what cycle I use, or what settings I pick, the clothes come out wet or damp and take a really long time to get there. Even on the "extremely dry" setting. I've had the machine for a couple weeks and tried out all kinds of loads - clothes, sheets, towels - and it's the same issue with everything. Also, I partially bought this dryer because I thought you could control it (meaning turn it on and off) from the app. You cannot. It will just show you how long is left and let you know when it's dry. I'm considering returning the dryer. :(

Doesn’t do a good job drying clothes
no matter what i do, i can’t get this dryer to dry clothes well. around 90% of each load is dry, but 10% is always damp. which causes the whole load to smell like mildew. very disappointing. i’ve turned off the auto sensor. i’ve changed the dryer settings (heat, times, etc…). i’ve made sure everything is not wadded up. i’ve tried to wash similar items together (i.e. all denim, all cotton). but something is always damp. is there a way to fix this?

Excellent Unit
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this dryer two months ago and so far it works amazingly well. I can control the unit from anywhere which adds more flexibility in my time. It's a great addition. Would recommend it to anyone looking to buy a dryer.
Huge Dryer
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This Samsung 7100 series dryer is very impressive. It has an extra large tub that has helped up reduce the amount of loads of laundry with our large family. The button layout is easy to understand, and the cycles are very easy to navigate. I like the door design because it can be set to open from the left or the right side. I really like the design of the lint trap. It's very efficient and will help prevent a lot of lint from getting into your dryer vent. This dryer has a steam/sanitize function that we have used several times already. It is especially useful for refreshing your clothes when you forget to get them out after the cycle is done. We intentionally left a load of scrubs and dress shirts in the dryer overnight and then the next day used the "Refresh" steam cycle and it took the wrinkles out of the clothes with ease. The smart things app was a breeze to setup and get running. There is a QR code that you can scan on the front of the dryer and it takes less than a minute to get working. The app tells you how much time is left on your cycle and has lot of helpful information like "Dry Recipe" which will help you pick a dry cycle depending on what clothes you are wanting to dry. The only critique I can find on the dryer is that the top is slanted and not flat. I guess the bright side is you won't have your dryer become a magnet for everything that comes into your house. Overall, I am thoroughly impressed with the dryer and have run it through about every cycle and option, and it has succeeded with flying colors. I am very happy with the purchase and would purchase it again.
BEST Ever!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We've had our units for six months now. We do laundry DAILY. This is a top-of-the-line dryer, and I am very picky. The available settings, plus being able to make your OWN setting, takes the cake! We did set up the steam line, and it works perfectly. The only thing that could be improved is the lint trap, but then again, I've never had a dryer where that was perfect, and I've owned more dryers than most people. Love that my Samsung watch, phone, and TV all let me know when the cycle ends!!
What's happened to the dryer drum?
I recently purchased the Samsung 5.5 cu.ft. Speed Wash Washer and matching 7.4 cu.ft. Smart Gas Dryer w/ Steam, but when I opened the dryer door and saw how small the dryer drum was, I knew instantly that something wasn't right. I made this purchase knowing full well, what to expect because, I just left a home where I used the same Samsung Washer and Dryer for nearly 5 years, minus the Steam feature on the Dryer so, I'm very familiar with the pair. Moreover, that's exactly why I purchased them, I was really pleased with the features and load capacity of both the washer and the dryer. Is there anyone else out there who wonders the same or, should I direct this question to Samsung? Samsung did you change the capacity of the dryer to commodate the steam apperatus, or to Sam's Club, did I receive the wrong dryer? Either way, I have tried to make the best of it, but I can't put a full load from the washer into the dryer because it just doesn't fit. Please help.

STOP!!! STAY AWAY!!! DO NOT BUY
I would stay away from this product! Samsung makes great TVS but shotty dryers. I bought this and it lasted a whopping 3 MONTHS that is right you read that correct ONLY 3 MONTHS!!!! stopped drying and would not get hot to save its life. When I put in the error code it doesn't exist in the system even after talking with Support, they can't find the error code which is beyond me considering they program all the codes. Samsung should be ashamed of themselves for putting out subpar product! again, I WOULD NOT BUY this product stay away buy LG or really anyone else other than Samsung for that matter.
