Used to be excellent... packaged in store. NOW, it's vacuum sealed. Low in fish oil... very dry. Low in taste. Couldn't even eat the laftovers which used to be a treat for me... warming it up a little in the microwave... a little salt. Delicious. Not anymore.

I am so disappointed in Sam's decision to change their skinless salmon to the product they are now selling. The old salmon was packaged fresh, dark pink and thick and delicious. This new product is light pink, vacummed seal and I threw it all out (which wasn't a cheap choice). It smelled so bad, I would not feed it to the dog. Sorry Sam's but you are changing your products and it's not a wise choice. I agree with all the posts regarding this new salmon you are selling.

Purchased this on the 1st of March. Date on Package had a use by date of Mar 8th. Opened the package on the 5th and fish was real stinky bad. Had to toss it out. Not going to buy this anymore to hit and miss on quality. Sam's folks did offer a credit for the item, which is nice.

I always buy skin-on salmon with a consistent 1st rate product but this last piece must have missed the scaler. There were loose and still on scales everywhere when I opened it, something you can't see in the sealed packaging. I mentioned it to the store customer service, not so much as a complaint but a warning and she gave me a refund. I was quite surprised and delighted. The salmon was delicious but it took me forever to clean the fillet and everything else in the kitchen.

Just purchased 8 fillets, took them directly home and cut them up into individual meal portions and then froze them. Pulled one out for tonight's dinner, when it thawed out it smelled like it just came out of a cesspool. It's a 65 mile drive back to Sam's but that's where these are going

For the longest time, I stocked up on the salmon in the foam trays and it was fresh. This filet smells awful and the water surrounding it looks excessively murky. I rinsed it off to see if that’d help because it is fish but NO SUCH LUCK. I wasted $40 on two, this fish seems to be spoiled.

I was extremely pleased with my salmon purchase. Generous in size for the cost and healthy color. I did accidentally buy two packages but it worked out well because I now have salmon for the next couple of months as I am the only one who eats it in my home. :)

Usually quite fresh and tasty, either freshly cooked or frozen for a later date. I first cross-cut into 1.5” strips for easy cooking or freezing for later use. Easy to remove skin with a sharp knife, cutting between later of skin and the meat of each strip - I also remove the dark fatty tissue exposed after skin is removed. I then use cold water to wash each strip before cooking or before freezing.

We normally love this salmon, but the last 2 times we've purchased it, and used pick up to get our order, it's already gone bad. The first pack was 1 day from expiring and had a fishy smell and taste. The last pack had a hole in it and a strong fishy smell. We won't be purchasing this again any time soon and are very disappointed with pick up for this item.

They started putting this in the cryovac do not smell me containers about t3 months ago. Now you can not smell if the fish is old. I bought some of this two weeks ago and gagged when I opened it. Ended up throwing most of it away. I'll never buy fresh salmon at Sam's ever again!
