False Advertising by Stealth Cam, NO data include

Stealth Cam will not honor the free 60 days of data. You don't know this until after you've bought it and attempt to activate the camera. When you contact them about it they say it isn't included in purchases from Sams Club. However, 60 days of free data still is listed on the box as part of the purchase price.

I bought 2, & I'm Sorry I did

Customer service is Horrid. They do not reply or respond to emails, and I've sent one Every day for over a week asking for help, And, they do not answer their toll free help hotline. They do however, take your money for the plan You get to choose, and be forewarned, you do not get your photos sent to your phone. So, you end up paying for a plan, that you have to manually go out, retrieve the disc to view then put it back. Doesn't seem quite right does it? They won't even tell you how to fix or resolve the issues. One camera, has sent nothing after initial setup up at all, - zero- zip, Nothing. I set set up both cameras in same area, based opposite each other within view of our house. I counted 15 deer, I even took pictures with my cell phone, and it's a good thing i did- because I did not get 1 photo, sent to my phone, even after Daily entering viewing tags etc. So my advice is this, if you want to see Everything that goes through your 'viewing area', don't use these cameras, they don't work, and you cannot get Any help to get them to work.

60-days Free Service is Conditional

I contacted GSM Outdoors' tech support regarding 60-days free service. I'm not eligible to receive 60-days free service because I signed up for a limited data plan. According to Tech Support, 60-days free service is provided only if you sign up for *unlimited* plan. If you sign up for any other plan, you don't get the 60-days free service. This is not stated in the item description. The first camera I bought didn't work at all. I won't even turn-on. I thought it was bad batteries. So, I tried three different sets of batteries. When, that didn't work, I returned it. They should do better QA. Then, I purchased another two cameras. They worked this time. The camera is good and configuration/setup is fairly straightforward.

False advertisement

Bought this because it said it came with a 60 day plan for Sam's members. Unfortunately, I keep trying to set it up. It keeps asking me to purchase the plan. I do not think that Sam should be selling this because it was false advertisement and i'm very disappointed!

The 60 day trial will begin once you have selected the Unlimited monthly data plan. Please know that it shows up as 30 days for each month offered and not all at once. If you should have any issues with this, please give us a call at 888-508-5922 for assistance.

False Advertising, Bad Batteries, Bad Customer Srv

If you buy this product and it says "60 days unlimited data" and "Data plans as low as $4 month" on the front of the package, DO NOT expect to get either one of them. It's not true. There is no free 60 days and plans start at $5, not $4. Emailed and also left online support request, no response from Stelathcam. After 15 days I called Stealthcam and they told me the deal advertised on their product was not available and tried to tell me it was Sam's clubs fault. Clearly Stealthcam printed the promotion on the packaging, not Sam's. They then offered me 1/2 of what the promo stated until I pressed the legal issues of false advertisement. They then connected me with somebody higher up in the chain who decided to give me the 60 days free. So the camera has been hanging on a tree for 15 days now, waiting on a cell plan. I go back to the camera after getting the free 60 days finally and two of the batteries have blown up and leaking acid inside the battery case. Pulled it off the tree and will be returning it to Sam's ASAP. Seems like Sam's Club is selling old model products that didn't sell at regular retail, with invalid promotions on them and that companies are just trying to get rid of!

Acceptable Performance; Lousy Customer Support

I have mixed feelings about this camera. Pros: It works as advertised (except as noted below). Clear day and night photos. A wide range of setting adjustments (image size, photo frequency/delay, sensitivity, 24 hours or customized on/off hours, sharable, etc.). Battery drain is better than most trail cameras I've owned. Water-tight. Cons: Customer service is HORRIBLE. Long waits on the phone. Unanswered emails. I had a problem with the subscription for multiple cameras (60 free days not applied automatically). I called and was sent 60 days codes (after sending a copy of my receipt and a screen shot showing the free 60 days). Codes did not work. Follow-up emails went unanswered for over a week. Another call (70 people ahead of me). I was finally given valid codes. Another annoyance: I sometimes get a "corrupted SD card" alert. Remove/re-insert usually works. A point of clarification: A paid data plan is NOT required to use these cameras as some reviewers suggest. The plan is required to upload the photos to the cloud for viewing remotely on your phone/computer. Without the plan, it still takes photos. You just have to retrieve the card from the camera and view the photos on a computer with an SD card reader. In other words, without a plan, it's just like standard cameras without the upload feature.

UPLOAD SERVICE IS HORRENDOUS

Camera is actually ok, but the cell service op system is terrible. I bought one camera to try before I bought more. It comes with a 7 day trial period on the photo uploads. You have to buy a plan before they will activate, no problem. Everything was working great till midnight of the 7th day of the free trial, then nothing. After 30 days of nothing, I call support and they say you have the unit in person. Call again with unit, really didn't accomplish anything. 5 days later still nothing. DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY
