Great Unit. Clear Pics.

I use this on my property to watch critter activity outside my barn. It’s easy to move around and also acts as a security camera at my front gate and mailbox. I live in the hills and the cell phone service can be touchy. I have not had a problem as long as the unit is outside of metal structures. For the price and convenience, this is a great unit. You get 60 days of free monitoring on Verizon, or whatever service provide you have. Up to 36mp. I use 8mp and the pictures are clear. I did by an accessory camera mount system as this can only be strapped onto surfaces. The mount I have is made to fit the tripod plug in the bottom of the unit. I can tilt it and move it in any direction I need it.

Subscription required to use camera

Minimum monthly payment of $5 just to set up camera and a cell phone is required. We have coyotes, bobcat and other predators and we were trying to find out their habits. After only a few photos we were required to pay more this month just to continue to use the camera. The camera is now junk to us and unusable. I gave it 2 stars instead of 1 because the camera does work. Had I known I had to pay rent to use it I would have never bought it.

The trigger distance was alot shorter than I had hoped. I couldn't trigger a picture until i was around 30 ft away from the camera..... this won't work for what i need.

Sonix Pro will not power on

Sonix Pro will not power on. It was working fine using the solar panel and aa batteries as a backup. The double a batteries were getting low, i replace with fresh batteries. Now, nothing will power on. There are no lights iluminated. I tried a another set of fresh double a batteries just in case the batteries were defective. Now it were not power on at all, with the batteries or with the solar panel. I do not see a reset button. The operator's manual or the manufacturer's website. do not offer a trouble shooting solution. I have contacted the manufacturer through their website and i'm awaiting a response.

False advertisement

Bought this because it said it came with a 60 day plan for Sam's members. Unfortunately, I keep trying to set it up. It keeps asking me to purchase the plan. I do not think that Sam should be selling this because it was false advertisement and i'm very disappointed!

False Advertising, Bad Batteries, Bad Customer Srv

If you buy this product and it says "60 days unlimited data" and "Data plans as low as $4 month" on the front of the package, DO NOT expect to get either one of them. It's not true. There is no free 60 days and plans start at $5, not $4. Emailed and also left online support request, no response from Stelathcam. After 15 days I called Stealthcam and they told me the deal advertised on their product was not available and tried to tell me it was Sam's clubs fault. Clearly Stealthcam printed the promotion on the packaging, not Sam's. They then offered me 1/2 of what the promo stated until I pressed the legal issues of false advertisement. They then connected me with somebody higher up in the chain who decided to give me the 60 days free. So the camera has been hanging on a tree for 15 days now, waiting on a cell plan. I go back to the camera after getting the free 60 days finally and two of the batteries have blown up and leaking acid inside the battery case. Pulled it off the tree and will be returning it to Sam's ASAP. Seems like Sam's Club is selling old model products that didn't sell at regular retail, with invalid promotions on them and that companies are just trying to get rid of!
