This rower has completely changed my opinion about the equipment genre in general. I was a little nervous getting this item as the prior model 550r had less than thrilling reviews, and there wasn't a lot of reviews on this model. However, this thing is worth every penny! I like rowing when I go to the gym, but often get bored and have a hard time feeling like I get the "total body workout" that every rower claims to give. However, with the iFit training I realized how much you can really do. I also really appreciate that the iFit classes have crosstraining aspects so you aren't just using the rower during your workouts. It is also super quiet, which is perfect for if you need to workout with small children napping in the other room, like I do. I love that this is low impact and glides extremely smooth. The only thing I would caution is there is a lot of moving parts, so if you have little kids, you may want to keep them away so they don't pinch their fingers on the sliding seat, or hinges. Overall, great machine! Very versatile and compact while in the storage mode. I highly recommend adding it to your fitness regime. After my husband was injured, he wanted to find some way he could still get in a good workout with less pressure on his joints. He already enjoyed rowing, but we didn’t have the room for a huge rowing machine in our home. This machine is perfect for our situation. I love that it folds up and wheels out easily, so we can store it in our closet and pull it out daily to use. It stays out of the way and out of sight when not in use and isn’t to heavy to move out every day. We have been using this rower for several weeks now and have experienced no problems. The machine works well, the iFit program makes workouts more fun, and we both enjoy the tracking features. I am a little bummed. The rower does not have a built in TV/display screen. I thought the 5" multicolor LCD display was a TV screen.... it is not. The console can adjust to hold your personal phone or tablet only. The seat has plastic wheels that ride the rail, if you are over 225lbs..... you may want to find something else with a more solid seat. otherwise..... it's a solid unit. For the price, and it was in stock, I don't regret getting it yet.

The product is deceiving appearing that one has to purchase ifit membership, but can activate machine by holding down ifit button for about 20-30 seconds and will unlock the screen for one to use. Not disclosing that information on instructions is poor product management, I was going to return it until I found out.

I had been looking for an alternative to running, something with lower impact on my knees, I heard that rowers have very little to no impact on joints, so I decided to give it a try. So far the workouts have been great, I love how it doubles as both a cardio and strength training exercise. The set up was easy, the instructions are pretty straight forward, I was a little worried about it's size when I ordered it online, I wasn't sure if it would fit the space I had, but it has a very sleek design and you'll be surprised on how much space you can conserve when you fold it up. I had a little bit of trouble activating the control panel on the machine, the manual suggests that you must sign up for the iFit program in order to activate the console, (don't worry they offer the first 30 days free) but you can bypass this by holding down on the iFit blue button for about 10-15 seconds. Once I got that figured out it was smooth sailing from there on out. I love that I still get that fully intensive workout I would at the gym, but have the convenience to do it at home. This is an awesome stater rower. I really like the space saver ability, as well as the smooth operation of the unit. As a bigger person, the seat rolled very well under my weight. My favorite part was how the I fit program linked with the rower and allowed me to do beginner workouts that showed me proper form and worked up to advanced workouts. If you forget your phone/tablet the onboard workouts were great as well. The low impact and smooth operation are great for me because of a back issue. I was able to fit both my tablet and my phone in the device holder, but the holder did not allow for my phone to be held sideways without pushing the power button or the volume buttons on my phone. There is no comparison to my older rower. This was easy to set up and easy to use. I was given this product for a reduced price in exchange for my honest and unbiased opinion.

I have loved this rower since receiving it a few weeks ago. The set-up is very simple and can be done with only one person even though it recommends two people. In all, it took me 20 minutes to set up as there are very few pieces. All you need is a Phillips screwdriver and an adjustable wrench. The rower itself is very discreet. It’s quiet (can easily get a good workout in without anyone in another room hearing a thing) and can easily stow away into a right space so as to not be in the way. There are many more resistance settings than other rowers I have used, which creates a great manual workout, but I especially enjoy the iFit program that allows me to select workouts that fit my time schedule and workout goals. The videos are motivating and make the workout experience much more enjoyable overall. The app also tracks performance in order to help you monitor your progress. I got the rower in order to supplement my regular workout routine when I couldn’t get to the gym, but it’s been the perfect piece of equipment by itself during the quarantine period. iFit offers loads of cross training options to help get me a dynamic workout in every day if needed. Overall, highly recommend this rower and look forward to using it even more going forward.

The machine is very quiet. the only thing you hear are the seat rollers as you go back and forth. the ability to use a tablet or a smart TV for the iFit app is nice as well. I do wish the resistance was a little more powerful. There is one thing I absolutely do not like about this machine. The plug is exceptionally flimsy and in a very terrible spot. I am extremely worried that something or someone will bang into it and snap it. This will cause your machine to become useless. I have no idea why they engineered it this way, but it is a ridiculously bad idea. plugging in and out at the machine instead of the wall will ultimately cause this to fail as well. Be very careful with it. Great machine otherwise.

This rower is awesome. From the first time it showed up in the shipping box, I was impressed. The ease of setting the machine up, it literally took 10 min, from start to finish with the easy to read and follow instructions. Within a half hour I was signed into IFIT and off Rowing the beautiful waters of the Pacific Northwest. My entire family has used it. The smoothness of the row is especially nice. It also folds up easy and unfolds to use as easy, not very heavy, but very sturdy. I highly recommend purchasing this product!

like the features and the pull / reach. Difficult to get started with the obligatory subscription that you have to start (and then quickly cancel) before it even allows you to work out with it. still trying to figure out how to get it to show meters rowed instead of cycling through cals, minutes, etc. probably should have just bought the Concept 2 to be honest. overall, it's ok.
