Awesome!! Should have bought one sooner.
I’ve wanted to add a rowing machine to my home gym for sometime now and COVID-19 gave me the perfect excuse. The ProForm 750R has been awesome!! I’m impressed with its capabilities and functionality. My only regret is thay I should have gotten one earlier. Pros: -Easy to assemble. Took me about 20 min from start to finish with the help of my 13 yr old daughter. -Convient folding space saver option. -Easy to move and relocate. -Sturdy construction, very stable, doesnt have any wiggle when the seat moves forward and back. -Glides smoothly -Tablet/phone holder works well. I have an iPhone XR that fits perfecly with a tight hold. -Display is easy to read and can change between measurements and modes. I really like that I can row for calories, not just distance. Love that I can change the heighth and level of the display itself when I choose to watch TV instead of my phone. -Offers all kinds of resistence and the resistence buttons are easy to change even while rowing. -The footholds are easy to adjust and the velcro is convient to get in and out of. -Comfortable grip that doesnt get too sweaty. -Absolutly the BEST feature is the ability to connect to the ProForm iFit app via bluetooth. (Also has an AUX cord input if you need it.) The varied workouts and instructors are excellent. My favorite is the olympic rowing instructor who took me from a beginner to a master machine rower through a progression series type workout. I would strongly reccomend using this awesome feature!! Cons: -The shipping box was very very heavy (thanks to the quality of the machine) and I couldnt move it alone. Not necessarily a con, but I had to wait for help to move it. I didnt want to be patient. -The pull strap is a thick nylon and makes a snapping/rubbing sound every once in a while as compared to the cable machine I have used before. -The seat cushion is comfortable but feels a little narrow for my backside. I would have liked it a little wider seat -You have to plug in the display which limits your placement of the machine. Overall this an AWESOME machine and I would highly reccomend it. Quality and functionality make it an excellent piece of equipment for your home gym. It is by far my most favorite workout machine. I was given this rowing machine at a reduced price for an honest and unbiased opinion.
Rowing is fun, who knew?
This rower has completely changed my opinion about the equipment genre in general. I was a little nervous getting this item as the prior model 550r had less than thrilling reviews, and there wasn't a lot of reviews on this model. However, this thing is worth every penny! I like rowing when I go to the gym, but often get bored and have a hard time feeling like I get the "total body workout" that every rower claims to give. However, with the iFit training I realized how much you can really do. I also really appreciate that the iFit classes have crosstraining aspects so you aren't just using the rower during your workouts. It is also super quiet, which is perfect for if you need to workout with small children napping in the other room, like I do. I love that this is low impact and glides extremely smooth. The only thing I would caution is there is a lot of moving parts, so if you have little kids, you may want to keep them away so they don't pinch their fingers on the sliding seat, or hinges. Overall, great machine! Very versatile and compact while in the storage mode. I highly recommend adding it to your fitness regime. I was given this product for a reduced price in exchange for my honest and unbiased opinion.
Love this machine!
This rower is awesome! There aren’t very many things we don’t like about it. Here is a list of pros: We love that it’s so quiet. We can row while our kids are sleeping and not worry about waking them up. Compared to other rowing machines, this is definitely an awesome feature. We love the capabilities that come with iFit. It is awesome that we can row with famous rowers and see the beautiful lakes from around the world. It feels like you are really there. It gives you such a real experience. As you row in sync with the athlete on the screen and hear the paddles go through the water and feel the resistance of the machine, you feel like you are actually rowing through the water. It’s cool that it folds up for easy storage. We love the wheels, which make it easy to move out of the way when we are done with it. The price is great compared to other rowers on the market. It’s a great product for a great price. I would recommend this product if you are looking for a good rowing machine. Here is the list of cons: We don’t love that it has to be plugged in. In our house, that gives us less options on where we can put it. The phone/tablet holder on the display doesn’t work for our phones. We have iPhones, so it pushes on the side buttons which tries to call 911. I tried to put it in vertically, but that didn’t work either because I wasn’t able to slide up from the bottom to work my iPhone X. It might work great for other tablets and phones. However, it didn’t work for ours. But we were able to make it work for us. We use the Bluetooth for iFit and use our screen mirroring option that comes with iPhones to have the workouts on the TV, which ends up being better on a big screen. For us, the phone holder is an unnecessary feature because we don’t use it. My husband likes to watch TV while he rows, so he wasn’t a fan of the display on the rower because our TV is on a TV stand, so the display is in the way. We just positioned the rower diagonally in order for him to see the TV. I also need to do that to see the TV with the workouts on iFit. But if you have a TV that is mounted higher, that wouldn’t be a problem. So, honestly, we were able to work around the things that we don’t love about this machine. The pros definitely outweigh the cons. It’s a great machine that gives you an amazing full body workout. I was given this product for a reduced price in exchange for my honest and unbiased opinion.
Good for apartment living!
Were really excited to add this rower to our fitness collection. We live in an apartment so space is limited in regards to formal exercise equipment and I was nervous about space when we first received it, but it folds up decently for a smaller than expected footprint. That said, its taller than expected when folded up so keep height in mind. We also like how quiet it is. We can work out any time of day without worrying about the downstairs neighbors. Set up was simple, but you definitely want two people to do so! Once we were set up it was very quick to get on the IFit Coach system and into the first work out. One of the things Ive always disliked about exercise equipment, in general, is having to adjust and mess with buttons to alter my workout in any way. The training programs automatically do the resistance adjustments for you, which allows you to just focus on what youre doing and just get through the workout! My only complaint is the fact its a nylon strap youre pulling and not a cable like similar machines. It does seem to make it quieter though, so I guess its a tradeoff. Overall, were pleased with this Proform. Both my boyfriend and I can get good use out of it with its various workout types. FYI: I was given this product for a reduced price in exchange for my honest and unbiased opinion.
Great rower and fun workout!
Great rower. Download the BILT app that has a 3D walk thru of how to assemble. MUCH easier then following manual. Btw you can use the rower with out FITBIT signup just don’t hit the Fitbit button that’s for Bluetooth connection. Altho the workouts and training are very motivating, so recommend. Lastly, you will need two people to secure the stability bar because of weight and awkward position when adding bolts. Other 3 parts are easy to add. It’s a heavy machine tho so build it where it will stay. It does fold easily but not so easy to move around. At least for a 5’7” 50 something woman.
It’s a good machine!
Being a runner, I had been looking for something to help in my cross training and this seems to be a great machine for the job! Set up was relatively easy and despite it’s length, it is slim and quite compact. It is quiet and smooth in its movement and provides good resistance even at its lowest setting, giving you a good workout! I love that the feet adjust, and that all my kids (youngest being 13) can use it comfortably. The only thing I’m not too crazy about is not being able to activate the console without signing up for the iFit program. While iFit gives you some pretty great workouts, is fun to use, and is compatible with multiple pieces of equipment, it was frustratingly not being able to just use the console... I later learned how to bypass the sign-up, but had already signed up. Not being a rower, I also wished there were more instructions/ explanations on the settings for the console. Overall, I am very happy with the machine itself!! I was given this product for a reduced price in exchange for my honest and unbiased opinion.
Hi Sheli, thanks for your comments and honest review. I'm glad to hear your whole family can use it comfortably. Good luck in reaching your fitness goals!
Very nice rowing machine
This rower is awesome. From the first time it showed up in the shipping box, I was impressed. The ease of setting the machine up, it literally took 10 min, from start to finish with the easy to read and follow instructions. Within a half hour I was signed into IFIT and off Rowing the beautiful waters of the Pacific Northwest. My entire family has used it. The smoothness of the row is especially nice. It also folds up easy and unfolds to use as easy, not very heavy, but very sturdy. I highly recommend purchasing this product!
Great rower
Ordered on Black Friday and it arrived quickly two days later. Easy to assemble. Had to activate through ifit but did not have to purchase a plan. I use it in manual mode and the entire family loves it! Great workout in just 10 minutes I am exhausted! Highly recommend
Perfect for low impact cardio home workouts
This is a great rower! My wife injured her knee and was looking for a machine that could get a good cardio workout in with little to no impact on her knee and this is a great machine to do a workout on. The feature I love the most about this is that it is portable. I love having the option to workout wherever I want(as long as it is plugged in). I had it in our house but I moved it outside (summer) and I workout in the morning, so watching the sunrise while working out is my favorite. The subscription based service isn't my favorite but with that being said, I actually enjoyed the videos of the different locations you can row and workout and see new things. But you can try it out for a month before you buy it so you can see if you like it or not. I used our iPad with it and the picture is amazing, very clear and feels like you are rowing (without the seasickness). The machine assembled very well. I actually used pliers instead of an adjustable wrench to see if it would be difficult without using the recommended tools, but it was really easy even with the wrong tools. The seat glides smoothly on the rail, The rower handle rejects without any pause or delay. If you use it without the online training feature its easy to adjust and use offline which is the features that I like. It is electronic based and so it has to be plugged in regardless. This is a great machine and I recommend it, I was given this product for a reduced price in exchange for my honest and unbiased opinion.
Thanks Casey for your comments and review. I'm glad it works well for your wife and her injured knee. Good luck to both of you in reaching your fitness goals!
Good product!
This is a great product, it was easy to set up and the perfect space efficient equipment for my house. The plastic adjustments for the feet were a little difficult to slide but where it doesn't need adjusted often it wasnt that big of an issue. The ifit app was awesome to go along with the machine, I really enjoyed the HIIT workouts that include the rower. I like how it went along with the class and automatically adjusts the machine for you through Bluetooth. My one complaint is that your phone bluetooths to the machine and adjust the workout, But the sound of the instructor from the ifit app does not, so you need to use the aux cord if you want the sound to go through the rower speaker. The rower is great quality, moves smooth and is a lot more fun to use than a treadmill or elliptical.
