Expiration date 2007???

I bought this September 3rd , I usually don't check expiration date for dog food, and the look and the smell don't help, but the other day my dog food smelled worse so I throw it away and got her a "fresh" can I thought it had just been sitting in her bowl longer than usual. But same thing with the other can. I turned the can over and it seems like it expired 2007!?!
