Horrible Chemical Taste

This had a very bad taste. I use to buy the individually wrapped Member's Mark Frozen Cod Loins and they were so good. This versions has a weird chemical taste. Will not buy again. Also I am forced to cook the whole thing at once. Please bring back the bags of Frozen Cod Loins.

Strong fishy smell and spoiled texture - got sick

Purchased Member's Mark Wild Caught Cod Fillet (Item %2313904360383) on May 9. Cooked on May 12 after properly storing in fridge. Strong fishy odor when opened (not the mild ocean smell you'd expect from fresh cod). Cooked it in olive oil in a hot covered skillet.  Tasted salty with slippery/mushy texture instead of flaky.  Wife spit it out after consuming several bites when she tasted ammonia; I ate my full fillet seasoned with malt vinegar. Early May 15 ( ~2.5 days later), wife had severe cramps, violent diarrhea, heavy sweating, and near-fainting. Stomach still hurts. (Note: food poisoning from spoiled fish can take 1–3 days, not always immediate. This was the only questionable food we ate in that window..) This matches many other reviews I've now seen—people reporting the same strong smell on opening, off texture, and some getting sick. We won't be buying fresh cod from here again and will be extra careful smelling any seafood immediately. Positive note: Quick refund from customer service.

Bad 2/2 times

Purchased twice. First time was rancid and smelled like chemicals. I was able to get my money back after going in store to do that. Gave it another try and it was rancid again! Didn't have time to go in to get a refund but very dissatisfied! The salmon is excellent have bought many times but will never get the cod again!

Very good. I only buy my food at Sam's now. So much better than frozen.
