Expensive and not as fresh as believed despite reading expiration date on labels. When I arrived home to cook it right away, as I opened the package the fish smelled like it was rinsed with ammonia. STINKY!

Very strong fishy smell that indicated it was not fresh. Did my best to prep/clean it. Cooked it thoroughly yet my wife and I both got sick from it. Flavor & texture seemed average.

The taste is awesome and priced to buy. This white fish knocked ** off of my feet. Really! Cod is beautifully mild, and this preparation couldn’t be easier ** more stunning. Coat it ** paprika and a few other spices, then pan-fry the cod until tender and juicy. It takes minutes to get restaurant-quality flavor!

Purchased the Cod Fillets last week; they were very fishy smelling when I opened the package although the freshness date listed was several days out. I washed, dried and froze the fillets in several freezer bags and thawed in the fridge. The fishy smell when I prepared them was overpowering, but the flavor was good.

For two days my frig smelled, thought the cauliflower was the culprit until I opened the cod package, then it was GAME on. Is there a trick to rid the smell of cod in your packaging? Or maybe some instructions to treat b4 cooking? I do like the texture over the frozen product you offer.

on 4/7/2022, I bought a pack of this cod fillet for $ 25.59. The package looked fantastic. But the fillet was pre treated with STRONG preservative, rendered it nothing but an extremely salty taste, totally inedible. I will try to ask for a refund will update when completed.

This is the third time I have had to have my money refund for bad cod. You would think I would learn. Sam's really needs to find out why the cod is bad. It is sealed in a way that you can not tell it has gone bad until you open the package. It is only the cod that I have ever had a issue with. Sam's do better with you fish.

When I opened the package, I could smell the fish. I wouldn't say it was bad, but it was beginning to turn. This is not the first experience I've had with your Cod fish, and I get the same result each time, that it smells like it's about to be turning. I won't be buying the fish anymore.

I purchased this Cod and once I got home I took it out rinsed it off, separated, put in freezer and actually didn't cook for a few weeks or more. I made a batter with pet milk, egg and flour, dipped in flour and fried. My husband no longer want salmon though there is more iodine in salmon. It was light, flakey and overall a great tasting fish.

This fish was purchased with a use by date 6 days beyond the day I got it. I prepared it that day and noticed an odd smell and texture upon opening the package as well as after cooking it. It went straight into the garbage can. My money was fully refunded without question. I definitely know fresh seafood and this Cod was past prime.
