The last two times I bought it he Cod Fillet it was smelly and inedible. The package expiration was still 4 ** 5 days out, looked like it was a safe to buy, but I was fooled the second time already.

Very strong fishy smell that indicated it was not fresh. Did my best to prep/clean it. Cooked it thoroughly yet my wife and I both got sick from it. Flavor & texture seemed average.

I purchased this Cod and once I got home I took it out rinsed it off, separated, put in freezer and actually didn't cook for a few weeks or more. I made a batter with pet milk, egg and flour, dipped in flour and fried. My husband no longer want salmon though there is more iodine in salmon. It was light, flakey and overall a great tasting fish.

Did not even bother to cook it. As soon as we opened it, it smelled horrible (like a rotten fish smell) and now our house smells horrible from it. (We opened it a week before its best by date.) And we're out the $20 we paid for it. Based on this purchase, we would give it zero stars or negative stars if we could.

When I opened the package, I could smell the fish. I wouldn't say it was bad, but it was beginning to turn. This is not the first experience I've had with your Cod fish, and I get the same result each time, that it smells like it's about to be turning. I won't be buying the fish anymore.

Prepared them 2 ways...1 batch fried in lard and the other air fried (both versions dipped in egg, then a 50%-50% flour/panko mix) both came out fantastic. No shrinkage at all in either version. Moist and flaky just as you would expect. My personal fav was the batch fried in lard...with tartar sauce on a kaiser roll. Omg!

Bought this on two different occasions from 2 different location In Tampa. Both times it tasted very bitter and gross. I looked it up and it turns out that happens when the gallbladder of the fish is sliced and the bile spills all over the meat and absorbs. Very disgusting. Wasted $40. I wish I could get my money back.

This is the most disgusting fish I have ever eaten. Smelled terrible when taking it out of the package. Cooked some of it anyway. Wife and I both took one bite and tossed it. Almost had like a chemical smell to it. Don't waste your money like we did.

I cooked it last night. It was disgusting. It tasted way too fishy my kids wouldn’t eat it and we used to get the cod filets all the time at the sams club in Kissimmee. They were excellent. The kind at lake mary/Sanford are probably why my stomach hurt and I’ve had gas all day.

This is the third time I have had to have my money refund for bad cod. You would think I would learn. Sam's really needs to find out why the cod is bad. It is sealed in a way that you can not tell it has gone bad until you open the package. It is only the cod that I have ever had a issue with. Sam's do better with you fish.
