We usually buy our fish and meat at Sam's and have had good luck in the past, but this particular package was sour smelling when we opened it, we sliced it into smaller portions, vacuum sealed it and put it in the freezer. When we pulled out a froze package and once it thawed and we were going to cook it, the sour smell was more pungent and we ended up toss all the packages we had vacuum sealed.

The fish was ok but obviously the water content was very high. I literally squeezed the meat before putting in the pan to bake and so much water came out. Even after baking it there was a good1/4 inch or more in the bottom of the dish. Not the freshest smell either.

I purchased this fish a few months earlier and it was excellent with very little fish smell. However, my most recent purchase of three packages, each was very fishy smelling, making me think it was unfrozen for too long. I may rethink purchasing this fish in the future.

Cod fish, this flaky white fish is my favorite, so packaging is important. This caught my attention, it was in a high-quality airtight container that keep the fish moist, fresh, and free of outside contaminants. I sautéed it with onion, garlic, and tomato with a little olive oil. Wonderful! It came up light flaky and muy delicioso! On the expensive side, but worth every penny.

I usually buy the frozen cod from Sam's and it's really good. They were out of that. When I cut up in this package, it smelled very strongly a fish. Enough to make my stomach start to turn. Nevertheless, I cooked it. It had no flavor no texture. Extremely watery like it was injected with something. I won't buy it again.

The fish was spoiled; the smell was horrible. Sams did refund our money without question.

Always a great selection at Sam's club. Especially for fresh caught seafood products.

Great for Fish and Chips. Tastes great baked or in a fish soup. Nice firm flesh.

Terrible quality. Cod was bitter and muddy tasting no matter how we cooked it.

Returned it. Very bad odor. We used to buy it and black cod both have changed.
