It makes the perfect bite size nuggets (my kids love just snacking on some ice now) and the reserve tank makes it easy for a busy mom to keep up with. It is a little loud while making ice (but I can't say I've come across a quiet ice machine) and im concerned about how hard it may he to clean/sanitize in the future but so far I'm obsessed! Also a nice touch it matches my other GE appliances.

I don’t know why, but it just seems to make your soda taste so much more crisp! So, we were super excited to try out this new GE nugget ice maker. First of all, it ships perfectly. Nothing was damaged. Everything was packaged up carefully. Assembly was pretty easy. Just make sure to give everything a little wash and rinse before use. After being cleaned and set up, the machine begins to make ice almost instantaneously. This specific model has two reservoirs in which you can put water so you don’t have to constantly fill with water. There is one on the bottom and the additional side tank. This makes things a little easier. Ice is continuously made and doesn’t really ever run out. It is a heavy duty appliance but still fits nicely under my cabinets. The only small thing I would change is if there was a designated spot to put your ice scoop. Other than that, this machine is great. Oh, it it’s not loud at all! This is just a great nugget ice maker and a fun addition to our kitchen!

Setup was incredibly simple—just plugged it in, filled the side tank with water, and it started working within minutes. The instructions were clear, and everything felt very user-friendly. After about 20 minutes, it started producing nugget ice, and wow—it’s exactly like the kind you get at Sonic or in nice hotel lobbies. Soft, chewable, and perfect for everything from iced coffee to cocktails. I didn’t realize how much I’d enjoy having this kind of ice at home until now!

I wish there was a way to have the machine a tad smaller. But over all it’s easy to set up, it holds a gallon of water in the side tank. So it makes a lot of ice! It comes with a filter and descale cleaner, which is really great! Overall product it extremely nice. Made well and the ice quality is exactly what you get when you go to a restaurant!

Having owned an earlier version of this machine, I'm pleased to say that it keeps getting better...and it was already fantastic in earlier versions. The capacity has been expanded, the texture of the ice is "chewy ice" with the perfect density. For people with sensitive teeth who still like to chew ice, this ice maker is ideal. We use water from our water machine, making maintenance very easy as no build-up of minerals happens. We have found the size of the machine perfect for our beverage station and even when it is in production, it produces a LOT of ice without making noise to distract or interrupt conversations, reading, etc. We don't even notice it's there until we want amazing ice. This is not one of the cheap versions of an ice machine that only lasts a summer. It is a high-end appliance that elevates special cocktails, sodas, and even plain water. My primary motivation for always having this ice maker is that it helps me drink all of my daily water goal.
