I needed a gazebo no taller than 8 feet or so, since I wanted to keep my tress without much trimming. This gazebo fits our space perfectly. I know it's called the 'XL Grill Gazebo', but for us it's the pool tools and shade gazebo. The power box and shelves are perfect for pool items and other backyard tools. The shade space is great. I would have loved a bigger one, but don't have the space in the area I had designated. Installation was professional and my dealings with the BYD service folk was outstanding. The quality of the solid cedar wood parts is exceptional. I would definitely recommend BYD with no reservations.

Just bought this gazebo for our backyard - delivery was fast, the assembly looks reasonable, and the quality is AMAZING! I like the idea of the built-in PowerPort - it’s something I didn’t find on other gazebos - and I think it will definitely come in handy for our first grill date night! I can’t wait to use it!

Bought this gazebo on sale and we absolutely love it! Assembly was easy with 2 people and now my neighbor looks across our fence line with envy. Last steps are to install the power box, attach it to the patio and start buying patio furniture! This has more than enough room for an 8 person square table on one side and a sectional on the other. Between the two we are going to have a propane heater for the winter. Very excited!

I put this together in one weeekend mostly by myself. The Instructions are really good. I am 5 foot tall so I needed a pretty tall ladder for some of the roof parts but it worked. Did need help lifting the sides up but if you can get a friend to help for an hour doing that, otherwise you are good to go solo. I love it so much!

I’ve had it up for about a month now it’s fantastic. It fit perfectly. The directions were easy to read and understand. I had a couple guys put it together for me. They had no issues with it. The only thing is if you guys advised us before we put it up to seal the wood, would’ve made it a heck of a lot easier in sealing it.

This is the 2nd Backyard discovery structure (1st was the 12 X 20 cedar unit) I have bought and built. Amazing structures with beautiful wood and top-grade hardware. They are very tedious to put up but if you follow the detailed instructions page by page, the end result is very nice and worth the time. I put up this by myself using my tractor with forks to hold the leg assemblies up while I attached the side pieces. Very happy with the final product.

We absolutely love our new gazebo! From the moment it arrived, we were impressed by the exceptional quality of the materials—everything feels super solid and well-made. My husband and I assembled it ourselves over a few days, and the instructions were clear, making the process straightforward. Backyard Discovery includes superior quality components with good fit-and-finish. Saxony XL Grill Gazebo is a good size for our patio. Full sized gazebos are too large and other brand grill gazebos, too small. Also, cheaper gazebos from some other brands have parts that appear inferior in quality - a few extra bucks spent here was well worth it. Flipped one countertop to the inside to better suit our needs. Added LED lights under the roof and finished it in an Olympic stain to preserve the wood and it looks great!

So happy with the grill gazebo! My husband added motion lights and even a gutter on it to make it perfect for our yard! He even added lights pointing down at the grill so I can cook at night! The gazebo is perfect to house our grill, and I am looking forward to being able to cook outside for our friends and family! Thank you so much for this gazebo, it is the perfect size! I looked everywhere for one that worked and was thrilled when I finally found this one!

Purchased this a little over a month ago to create a backyard poolside bar. Quick delivery, easy assembly, beautiful finished product! We did add the horizontal cedar slats across the back to define the space and have a place to hang items to give the space character. Love!
